Mrs S.D...........you made me laugh but cannot find the post to quote it !
Have been away again, you all seem to be doing well. Hugs to those with the very familiar black dog (he does get around)
For the first time in a very long time I came home to a clear hallway. Also a sitting room that I can sit in without panicking over how much work needs to be done. There is still months of determined work ahead of me but like everything else it can only be taken a day at a time. I am so glad that I did the work needed for this clarity, before I went.
Am on 17/104
Will hopefully have something to report soon.
Keep well and safe

Not much useful done today but I took myself out for a few hours and wandered round antique centres. Bought some old postcards and jigsaw for GD4 and decluttered a bacon butty and slice of cake. It was slightly damp sitting outside but garden was glad to see some rain. Feel better for getting out more although avoiding anywhere crowded or busy.
Bookcase collected and small sum for savings pot. £5 M&S voucher for changing something to pay by DD - forgotten about it so nice surprise in post. Some vouchers from surveys helped toward cost of new vacuum and 2 small payouts to PayPal as well so something to balance my recent spending binge.

822 - random receipts shredded - I keep Christmas ones in a tin for a few months in case needed.

Afternoon or evening to all
@balabooberlies - that's a really great place to be in and nice to come home to a clear space - well done you🙌
So failed my driving test but not worried, just panicked so had a serious fault for clearance but not that I hit anything. I didn't over think it or stress, I just said thank you for your time. I was 37 mins into a 40 min test so just a combination of nerves and a wobble.
Don't think I need more lessons and in hindsight with the new job and house sale pressure I should have moved it. Next available test is October so just booked that in and hopefully I can swap that for a cancellation at some point.
Not kicking myself as that is life, some things go your way and others don't.
House sale is wobbly (I'm a bit annoyed but know I have plenty of other buyers so I shall not entertain any of that.
I think from next week I get to work alone and at home until the foreseeable, so all the goings on and politics won't affect me - not being a hermit but I'm quite pleased about that.
As I've been doing a lot of extra they have said that I can also have Friday off so I should get a nice long break.
Have cooked a rubbish tea of HM chips and anything left meat wise in the fridge so that's us fed.
I need to sort the piles of dried washing on the airers - so that's tonights decluttering!
Hope everyone is doing well.

Thank you Sam, it really is making a difference because I can see clearly what has to be tackled next. I have always been untidy (?). One of my bosses (and a great friend) used to call my desk 'organised chaos'. I knew where everything was. But I have always been a manic hooverer, couldn't stand any carpet that wasn't hoovered everyday. And always clean.
Then a deep depression caused in part by deep losses. I am now out the other side but I desperately want the organisation that I have never achieved before. And rid of this hoarding tendency escalated by the depression. 8 years of hoarding to tackle.
I admire the attitude you have applied to your driving test and house sale.
Ha !
It seems I have opened the floodgates. I am NOT the only person with an annoying Wok !

Wow Frogletina 🤩 well done on sorting your clothes 👏 Bearing in mind the amount of weight you have already lost 👏, are the clothes that don’t fit too large now? You could dress up to get your jab 😉😉
I bet you forgot you asked this question in February about my clothes? I remembered you asking it and for some reason I realised the other day that I'd not answered it.
The clothes that don't fit are too small still, but I'm getting there. Others are now feeling big on me. My weight loss now is another 7lbs, a total loss of 42lbs now!
I am finding that I am dressing better now when I'm going out, even to my jabs! I've had both now, my second one was last Friday. It will be nice when I can meet up with friends and they will hopefully notice the change.

This post will bring me up to date with my declutter list.
Instructions and recipe booklet for bread maker to my granddaughter no 1
Shredder - I've already mentioned this, but not counted it
Nail glue - it's been in my bag along with a second one for ages, but this one is empty. You can't see how much is in there, and I didn't want it to run out when I was out of the house. My nails split far too often, so I need it for emergencies.

Debenhams beauty reward card

113 DVDs

18 DVDs
9 folders
2 mugs
Spoon rest
2 shopping bags
Clutch bag
Plastic container, no lid
6 keys
2 belts - these belonged to my son. I'm gradually reducing his things, but it's hard. I still have most of his ties, and some other clothing items - along with items that I will be keeping in his memory.
That brings me up to 645 items.
A lot of the items have gone to other people, or charity shops (one bag load is about to leave the house) - only a few things needed to be binned.
Most of the DVDs were ones which belonged to my late husband, but had been taken to my son's house to be sorted. Almost all have gone now; so many were still unopened. He used to love going to charity shops and buying them.
I've been using Olio, which is an app I thought was just for food but it is for non-food items too. It's purpose is to reduce waste, (food and other items), by putting them up for free collection by other users. All of the DVDs I've put up on there have gone, and other items. Some items didn't go (mugs and a bag) so now they are off to the charity shop.
Sorry it's such a long list this time. I hope others are like me and always look down other people's lists to get ideas for things to declutter.

Yes indeed Frogletina
your list has given me a gentle push towards the millions of dvd's, some dulicates. Also, thank you for heads up on Olio.

Shame about the driving test @moneyonmymindsam. As yous ay it may not have been the right time. Better luck in October.
Well done @ Frogletina. Hope the bed went @vulpix.
Nothing out today but a load of calories walking 6.5 miles before my charity shop stint thisafternoon.. I felt I waould never get past 3.5 miles. I am also starting to feel stronger. I helped MiL move a bag of compost and a bag of gravel yesterday. I couldn't have done this a few months ago so all the efforts have been worth it.
Just got to keep managing energy levels so I don't hit a wall and lost what I have gained. 😊
