@mothernerd - Ahhh - cheese rolling!! That's local to me and in the 1970s - early 1980s my aunt used to live at the foot of that particular hill so we would walk up and watch - no huge crowds and police and health and safety rules like there are now!! 😆😆I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £209

My sympathies Emm - my son and brother have spent an entire week trying to help me get onto a website which I use regularly but which was blocked. Getting help from broadband provider is so difficult as they take you through automated routes and keep cutting you off or telling you you've input the wrong information. It was their problem in the end - nothing to do with any of my settings but so frustrating. Working now.
793 - Watered bug killer onto lawn and recycled packaging. Let's hope the critters have gone for good.
794 - Car insurance reduced by almost half via price comparison site. I got 30 quotes which were less than I was paying so I know it was well overpriced before.
795 - Tidied house up generally and DIL came and cleaned while DS2 fighting with broadband people
796 - Random broken toys binned whilst children weren't looking
797 - New home found for bookcase to leave here tomorrow
DS2 made holes in bottom of old dustbin for me and I half filled it from my composter then topped up with new compost. To plant with runner beans when it's warmer overnight. I had a tall circular climbing frame which wasn't being used which fits exactly into the bin. I have tidied up my pile of CS stuff and will put in boot of car and see if I can get rid of it this week.
Not much on this week except a zoom quiz one morning. I have small people mid week and some school runs to do but will try and take myself out one day. I think this is a good addition to our decluttering routine. Blowing the mental cobwebs away.2025 Decluttering Campaign 665/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Hello you lovely lot, I've been reading along since this started, cheering and commiserating as required and now I wonder if I could join in too. I have had a moment looking around my house and we have far too much stuff..mostly mine if I am honest. I would love to get the living room redecorated as well as our bedroom but there is too much stuff everywhere to even start thinking about the practicalities.
I made a little start by clearing out three drawers of my bedside unit and chucking out all the bits that had accumulated over the past few years. What I would like to do is sell as much as possible to raise the money for carpets and paint and hopefully now things are slowly getting back to a bit of normality the car boot sales will start soon. I will try using Facebook selling pages as well but am a bit worried about having people coming to my home.
I have bought lots and lots of storage to try and solve the problem of having too much stuff when really I should have got rid of lots of my bits and pieces instead. Never mind, it's not too late and I am feeling very motivated to do this. I need to use one of my many notebooks to keep a record of what is going out and a purse to put the money in. Wish me luck!12 -
Welcome @Dumpling I am someone with too many notebooks too
There is lots of motivating decluttering videos on YouTube if you have that.
Today has been busy!!! I've cleaned everything (again) cooked toast and tea. 4 rounds of washing and there is no washing left. It really felt like a washing marathon.
Have a busy week ahead but I think I'm going to do my 3 bag sweep each evening a cross 5 rooms an evening per week. 1 bag for sell, 1 donate and 1 rubbish. There are 5 rooms so it should work quite well.
Hope everyone's had a lovely day and you have had some sun.

Washing machine leak - aaarrrggghhh.
All sorted now, but what a mess, lots of old towels to be washed again tomorrow! Should only be a load but still could have done without it.
Bit of life admin done - arranged a chap to do the garden at mums once a month this means when I go there I don't have to spend a whole day sorting out the jungle. Just a shame I didn't find him a year ago but never mind.
It's a very small amount of money and I think will help upkeep things. Anything that will save me and to be honest I think the chap wants something to do and is kind enough to help me. Feel very grateful for that.
Have stopped being helpful to my elderly neighbour as I overheard her slagging me off to her friend (only as she is old and has nothing better to do) so that's a bit sad, none of this is true and I've just took with a pinch of salt but thought won't make that mistake again. People are funny 🙃
I'm trying to budget blind as work have no idea what I will get paid or if I get paid in May 🤔 not worried either way but doesn't say a lot about care of staff.
Feeling positive today just got to survive the week and the pressure is massively off.
Our coin jar is massive and getting really full woo hoo. Think we are going to use this as a moving fund.
I really miss having my garden so much. So that is top of my wish list.

Evening MrsSD & fellow declutterers, first of all thank you for the kind words about my daughter. She is back in hospital again, struggling to support herself, the swelling and bruising around the fracture site is not helping. Saw her today and her leg is tilted to drain away the nasty stuff from the area around the break, tomorrow we are hoping that the physios can help her get some confidence back with the Zimmer frame. Hopefully she can then be discharged for the second and last time from hospital to continue her rehab from home.
Let's see, it's the first time she has broken a bone in her body.
So I have kept busy today, decluttered the front of the house, moving plant pots around, removing lots of weeds (decluttering) and the ugly stuff that grows out of brickwork. Pulled up a lot of weeds. Made a lot of progress on this over a 2 hour period out in the sun. I needed that. And also the football team that I support won today. Now binge watching in front of TV and playing catch up on programmes I have on my list to watch.
Fingers crossed for some good news tomorrow. Cheers 🙂12 -

366. top - CS
As well as the listed items I took a large sack of clothes that had been up in the loft to the recycling bin at the end of my street. I'm holding onto the nicer bits until I can get to the children's hospice shop. Feeling better this weekend has made me realise just how down I've been feeling of late, I feel very grateful to have turned a corner.
Sending love & best wishes to everyone who is struggling for whatever reason .....
Thanks @Mrs SD for your ongoing encouragement.
