Had a lovely day driving up to Manchester through the Peak Park and then back again via my new friend.
Along the way I let go two bags of wool and gained several bags of lovely crocheted blankets, hats and bootees; ( for my project to send baby blankets to Malawi) and some charity shop stuff from my SiL and my new friend.😊
I was supposed to go for a training walk but DS2 (my nephew) who was with me to see his parents and have a day out just wanted to sleep. I will have to get up early tomorrow.

@skint_chick brilliant bringing nothing in. I've taken stuff to CS and so far only bought birthday cards -try to get all mine from there.
Reading all the posts this morning in hope will rub off on me as cannot find things - so need putting away things, decluttering where I can and cleaning.
Going to get my DIY man round to help - have put off cos of embarrassment of messy house but he will help as one thing is to get a shed up then the garden tools etc can move back out of the house!
Have a good weekend all x9 -
I unpacked new vacuum after children had gone home last night - looked at the bits, sighed and decided it was a job for this morning. Batteries on charge now then I will try putting it together. Long chat with DD and hopefully we can meet up soon.

Morning MrsSD and fellow declutterers,
First of all, I hope your back gets better soon MrsSD.
It's been a strange old week. My daughter broke her left tibia last Sunday. Fell off a skateboard. It was not hers at all, she was playing with some girls she met in the park. Felt so guilty as it was just me and my daughter out enjoying the sun and then this happens. She is in a full leg cast from almost her groin down to her toes. She has had an ok week, two steps forward and then a step back. We are all rallying around, me, my wife and family and her friends. It is upsetting to see your loved ones when they are in distress. She is at fracture clinic next Wednesday for a 1st assessment and then in three weeks time, the cast above the knee will come off. So taking it one day at a time. Still very busy at work but that keeps my mind of things.
Decluttering has been on the back burner of late, however I inadvertently decluttered all my tomato plants (8 in total) by killing them (by accident) by giving them liquid tomato feed (probably too much). The leaves on them were going purple, so I thought they needed some feed to get their leaves looking a lot better. How wrong was I. We may get some planted this weekend, otherwise it will be too late. Let's see. I told my daughter this and she laughed....at my lack of care 😉 So keep going MrsSD with your tomato plants, but don't feed them liquid feed just yet! Cheers 🙂9 -
Hugs to you and yours Leelad
My brother (SLD) broke his arm the first time he tried to use a skateboard. Even now when he describes the incident he always ends with 'and I howled like a wolf'.
Hope your daughter copes well.

My wok was annoying. Took up so much cupboard space and was fairly tall so difficult to stash anything inside without having to remove it from the cupboard to get things. It went so long ago that I don’t remember how it left or where it went!
I never missed it.
I have a set of three saucepans, one frying pan and a slow cooker. All other saucepans went. And yes I cook meals from scratch for the two of us every single day.
I also have a few Pyrex dishes and cake tins for the oven.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?10 -
@balabooberlies and @newlywed my wok was annoying and went a year to two ago, but I have far too many saucepans
Want to get rid of 50 things this weekend so will see how it goes
810 - 812 old pens out
813 - fun Japanese tin to DD1 for keeping pens in - I have enough and kid carton images so maybe I'm too old. Another one which I wanted to get rid of as water marked but haven't found right thing to replace it lying around!
814-819 DD1 taking 6 green pens ( I don't like writing with them)
820 broken cord binned
821-822 sofa and armchair taken, I can't find a taker for the other sofa - fire safety tag came off so CS won't take.
823 DD1 taking a charger for her laptop - I get my laptop back and then give DD2 her laptop back
824 ood food
Bought a skirt last week - midi length and quite nice but I bought one 2 years ago and 1 last year and haven't worn either (one a CS bargain) so going to return it, and drop a few things at the CS. When I've taken things more motivated to start a new bag!

Happy Saturday all.
Up early had enough driving. Then did a shop - that will keep us going to Friday next week but I did spend over and still need coffee and milk so I will pick this up later.
Just cleaned the awful balcony so that's done!
Washing is on, and just starting my big clean so posting here to keep myself accountable.
Back later if I achieve anything 😂
