Hello all have been MIA again sorry. I've had a visit from the black dog and it didn't want to clear off. 😬Grrr. Anyway it's lurking somewhere behind me now but as long as it stays there, I can deal with it.DGD has told me today that she no longer needs her car booster seat, apparently now she's too tall. Maybe I can use it as I'm vertically challenged 😂. Noooo ! It will go in the cs bag as it's like new. I shall decluttter the ironing basket today, a job I hate. DH informed me that there was a video player in the office that could go, it's in the garden waiting for the scrappy man as it has a metal case.2 green waste bins will be emptied tomorrow, although there's enough shrubbery ready cut down to fill them up again as I've decided to give my rubbish bins a new home and a large shrub was in the way ! I've also found an outdoor light which doesn't work, so that's been binned.Monthly medication boxes binned, mostly DH's. About 4ins cut off my leather belt and another hole put in, the diet must be working 👏🏽Deleteted about 25 books from my kindle, as they have all been read, but have recluttered 6. Many emails deleted, too many to count.Marpau hugs and sincere condolences on your losses.Dumpling Hi !MrsSD glad the back is getting better, keep resting it please.
Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently13 -

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher; go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉😉)Monday is another bright, sunny day (very warm in the sunshine) 🙂 but still with a chilly breeze & very chilly in the shade ☹️ Builder is here with a labourer. Our wall is coming along nicely & half of ndn’s wall is completely down 👏
I have had a couple of twinges in my back so will have another day of rest 😉
Now I have a few pages of cheerleading to attend to 😉Well done on dealing with electronic clutter Emm-in-a-pickle 👏 Very pleased that you are back with us 🙂greent, I always thought the cheese rolling looked enormously fun but rather dangerous 😉Great decluttering GrannyKate 👏 My DH is my tech guru 😉 If I have a problem I give my DH the iPad & let him sort it out 👏👏 I love the addition to your decluttering routine - blowing away the cobwebs 😃 Another busy day GrannyKate - well done on the huge amount of decluttering 👏How lovely mothernerd, dressing up to read your book & do a jigsaw 🙂👏 😊Brilliant to see you dumpling 👋 I love reading your posts on other threads 🙂 Welcome aboard the Decluttering Charabancs - still socially distanced of course 😁 A great start to you new decluttering ‘hobby’ You have probably realised that I do like to throw in a suggestion or three to new posters 😉😉 So for you it is designate one of your storage solutions for a specific task e.g. holding items for sale & when you are in the later stages of decluttering the storage item can also be sold 🙂 You sound well motivated & I can see me awarding lots of medals & gold stars 😃
Excellent work moneyonmymindsam 👏 and what a great idea - the 3 bag sweep - one medal 🏅 on its way 🙂 Yah boo sucks re the wm leak 😖 but well done on ‘going with the flow’ 😉 at least you have a very clean floor 😉😉 Also great news about finding a gardener - you are happy, the chap is happy & the garden is happy 🙂 Such a pity about the elderly neighbour - she will miss your help 😞 but I admire your restraint 👏 My nosy 🧐 streak is coming into play 😉 does your coin jar contain all denominations of coins? 😉
Great work HappyKitties 👏 Our garden waste collection is currently incorporated in the Council Tax - seems rather mean of your council to charge separately ☹️ Hope your sliced finger is mending 🤕 An eclectic mix of items to the cs 🙂Oh dear leelad ☹️ I am sending lots of good wishes & healing vibes to your daughter & everything is crossed 🤞 that the hospital can sort out the problems & get your daughter home to recuperate. Well done on the Distraction Decluttering, sounds like you did a lot of work 👏
Thanks for the info Floss 👏
What a great alignment EnergyShifter 👏 “Mindset, Energy & Time” the cornerstones of decluttering 🥳 and you have had the wisdom to recognise it 👏🙂🥳 Your successes will get you completely round the corner 🙂👏What a result Gem-gem 👏👏 Great decluttering & cluttering money is always good news 🙂👏Nice to see you retiredinfrance 👋 Great decluttering 👏 What a relief to have dates for both your jabs 🙂 Life in the slow lane is OK for a while but you are probably wishing for a bit of speed now - as am I 😉Vulpix, sending you healing vibes & congratulations on still managing to declutter even when feeling rough 👏 You must be so proud of yourself vulpix 🥳👏 - always nice when your hard work is recognised & appreciated 🙂 It also makes moving from a much loved home easier when the buyers have the same opinion of what makes a great home 🙂Flipping heck Marpau - I am surprised you are still standing let alone posting & decluttering.I have no words other than please look after yourself. So much for a “rest day” bit_by_bit 😱 made my back ache just reading about all your exertions 😉 re the wasps nest - they are beautiful on the TV 😁 but I think I would have screamed & run (or at least limped 😉) to the hills 😱 You are a marvel and I am astonished 😯 that you only had a small attack of the shakes bearing in mind the size of it 👏 I notice that you are already planning your next big project 😉
I will try to give the black dog a good kicking nannywindow. So sorry that he is making life miserable for you but well done on putting him behind you & continuing to declutter 👏 Your DGD must have made you smile with her reaction to the booster seat 🙂
Thank you for the kind wishes & I promise I will continue to rest my back 🙂DH & DSis are now outside decluttering branches from ndn’s tree - with his permission of course 🙂MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅 ⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️Decluttering Target: 2021 859/20212021 Savings Pot: £41.00 to end of MarchBe Kind. Okay have totted up things done over the last few days (remembered actual decluttered items in amongst the tasks). $ boxes emptied, 1 wooden crate brought into the house as it will make it easier to transport some of the jigsaws, 7 bags and one box into paper recycling. Put four full 2 l bottles in the top to weight it down a bit so I can get more in. Lots of small containers (10 - 12 l) of soil put into the raised beds. Went out after tea one day and was faced with a choice between 7 small or 2 large containers and moved the 2 large ones (one was a large old kitchen bin), 7 little ones done first thing the next day.
Two bin bags filled - first was the retired (expired) painting clothes and the boots covered in blue paint (already had three layers of sole worn through), second was shed refuse including an aerosol can of strong adhesive which had welded itself to the shed floor - well it was no match for me and my grandad's 100 year old lump hammer (little bit of plastic bag still stuck on). I large container moved today.
Cleaned the shower screen and did bits of the bathroom, cleaned my mask and hose, started a washing pile, need to add one or two sheets from the bed and want to take off those couch covers which can be unzipped. 12 spadefuls of soil dug late afternoon (have to hold onto the fence or I would fall over. Did more later, less spadefuls but used the shovel to move all the loose bits. This is on the side bed which I want the young man to dig but in the corner it was easy enough to dig a spadeful and put it straight into the raised bed and I have another metal raised bed which will fit into the awkward bit in the corner (if I dig a bit more out to level it). It should also work with the sharply slope towards the house.
Moved the jigsaw I have been doing out of my room into the living room. I had two large pieces of card which took nearly a half of the jigsaw each but it's getting increasingly difficult to move it without it all sliding off. Putting it together on the table now which also means I can access the far end of the room without having to shuffle across the bed - have done bits of jigsaw in some of my rest breaks. Cleaned all the drill bits and nails which might have been in contact with mouse wee, spread them outside on a large old towel and used a small towel to finish them off. Towels shaken out and added to washing machine.

3. ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher; go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉😉)Nice chat with ndn. Dinner was hm chicken, bacon & mushroom pie (used lo Somerset Chicken sauce from freezer & readymade pastry), mash & carrots. The pie was yummy & there is one portion left + have taken lo fish pie portions from freezer for tomorrow’s dinner. I also did my telephone banking - cc bill paid & accounts checked. Wudupa. Back still twinging occasionally but at least I am not hunched over anymore 😉 DSis phoned DB - video call - he looks unwell & has the shivers. In Germany they are taking Covid19 seriously - regardless of him being quarantined, his wife isn’t allowed to work (teacher) & their 2 boys are not welcome at school. DB has to quarantine for 3 weeks.860 - 862 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, plastic takeaway box & lid - recycled
863 Kitchen detritus - binned.
Great work HappyKitties 👏 don’t forget to polish your halo for taking the neighbour’s lawnmower 😇Great work D123456789 👏 Ah yes, but if you hadn’t cleaned the kitchen you & LO wouldn’t have been able to make & bake cookies 😉
Good work EnergyShifter 👏 It seems even cats don’t like change 😉 Thanks for the reminder re CS 👏 - I will phone a couple tomorrow.Excellent decluttering mothernerd 👏 Very busy again, working like a Trojan 👏 but at least you are taking rest breaks 😉MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅 ⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️Decluttering Target: 2021 863/20212021 Savings Pot: £41.00 to end of MarchBe Kind. Good Morning.
Bit of a result. Someone asking for a bed on FB. They should come for our old superking later today. I won't count unless they are a no show. The big declutter begins.
Sorted my shed out yesterday. Moved stuff to the correct shed and binned the sum total of a ripped plastic bag and a perished rubber glove!
Today Mr V will photograph and list stuff to sell on FB.
Also emptied my bedside drawers of doom. All tidy now.
203. 2 necklaces to car boot stuff
204. Another watch ditto
205. pound shop glasses now not strong enough
Pounds gained £190
Pouds lost 17lbs
Vx:15 -
Decluttered some small sewing projects yesterday:
hole in sock sewn up before it gets bigger
button sewn onto a coat destined for charity shop
small hole in a seam sewed up on a skirt shortly destined for charity shop.
working on decluttering the freezer as I keep buying more meat when the freezer is still packed full, threats of shortages and difficulties booking deliveries made me keep a months worth of food but now there’s less problems so no need for me to store as much. Also put half the collection of jars (Justin case) into recycling as I have more than we need now - often use a jar for left overs and for half an onion etcworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?12
