Sam,best of luck to you.xxx
Thank you for my star Mrs SD. Never have I had such praise and encouragement!
Good Morning all.
Well the kitchen is tidy, apart from the old glass double glazed unit yet to be put in the shed. Putting that in my shed will mean everything has to come out of the shed to put it at the back ,out of the way.
Oak drawers sanded varnished and new to me Laura Ashley handles fitted. It is now on the landing looking most sophisticated with a copper jug of teasels and some candles on it.
I also made a bedside table this week for the large spare room. I had an old metal case which my Grandad gave me when I was small. He always said it was to carry bombs. I looked it up online as there is some writing inside. It is German from the second world war and was indeed used for carrying bombs. It is also worth some money to collectors. So instead of screwing some acquired (25 years ago) legs into the metal I got a piece of mdf cut and screwed the legs into that. The case sits on top of that little table. We got a piece of glass for the top. I was going to buy some bedside tables and upcycle them for that room. I had already made a small table last year from a drum which was from Mr V's youth so that and the suitcase table look very unique and quirky. I have 2 more big ish DIY jobs to do then I am done... until next time.
I have also put up a few Easter/ Spring decorations in the house. Anything to avoid housework! Cats are very interested in the decorations. More than I can say about the cat flap or cat house. Even roast beef hasn't tempted them. They are scaredy cats though from the cat sanctuary. Scared of their own shadow. I will keep trying. The neighbours cat still sits at the French doors gazing longingly at my cats food. Not seen her in the cat house although my Tom cat has sat on it's roof!

Cleaning today has been a general wipe round surfaces in bathrooms, kitchen etc.
506 Decluttered all emails in in-box and ordered chafer bug killer for my front lawn. It was totally decimated by the little blighters in 2018 and completely clearing it away and relaying has been a long job. I think they have gone but decided to give the new lawn one more treatment this spring just in case. It has been expensive even though I only used cheap seed - didn't want to buy turf if it was going to have its roots gnawed off again.
507 Decluttered some money for upcoming bills, bought some more premium bonds and updated accounts
508-509 Trip to local tip with plastic doors from yesterday, a few other oddments and box of paper for recycling
510 I put socks on to go to tip and they had holes in them so when I came back they went in the rubbish.
Portion of cooked mince from freezer for dinner today. Will do baked potato I think as I somehow got 2 bags of potatoes last week.

Thanks MrsSD it was a shock to be back at square one after 6 years, but we now have to get on with things and live life in whatever way we can. Hope your jab went well too.I had a cs bag through the door today so I'm on a mission to fill it with as much as I can by collection Wednesday. I already had some items ready and then lockdown scuppered my plans. So added today a bag of lemon potpourri, an oil diffuser and 2 champagne type glasses. Hopefully I can add more tomorrow too.In the rubbish bin a small bag of shed detritus, the contents of all the bins in the house, several used diffuser reeds and a child's blue school leggings ( nothing to do with me but they have been left on the floor outside my house for over a week. They wouldn't fit me anyway and even though I'm vertically challenged they were still too small
) In the recycling a cardboard delivery box and a hospital medication box. In the recycling box an ice cream tub, a lemonade bottle and a small water bottle. In the food caddy a few green potatoes and a mouldy banana, shame on me
Finally re-cluttered the xmas tree from DB in-laws grave, it's been re-potted and now waiting to return there again next Xmas. I'm not really that tight, but I hate waste. It is lovely seeing everyone recycling, binning, selling or donating, it spurs me on. Keep up the good work all.nanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently11 -
Hi all,
Not a bad day (for a Monday) put a lot on eboy which was exhausting.
Absolutely refusing to sell for others now, so not even plus one 😂
2 more items sold today so just packed and dropped those off. All the money really helps and I make sure everyone is happy with what they have received before spending the money!
For me it really has been worth doing, so if you get chance @leelad do give it a go.
Scrap 9ct has gone up to about £14 a gram so I've had a clear out of old earrings, spindly necklaces and will get that sold.
Thank you for all the good luck everyone 🍀 back at you whatever your doing.

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. CLEAN ONE ROOM (TOP TO BOTTOM) EVERY MONTH (hopefully 3 weekly by the end of the year)Sunday was a gloriously sunny day 🙂 but oh so cold. Our chosen builder turned up to have a 2nd look at the collapsed wall. The good news is that he is currently busy & it will be about 3 weeks before he can start - shows he is in demand 😉 First time in ages, on the back of the motorbike, as DH took me to get my 1st Covid19 vaccine. It was a breeze - arrived early & all done & dusted 3 minutes before my actual appointment time 👏 Stopped off at MrA on the way home. DH filled the bike whilst I shopped. DH cooked cheesy pasta for dinner & did the washing up 👏 Possibly psychosomatic - but did feel achy about 10 hours after jab so went to bed.
Monday overcast & cold. Feeling better. Lo cheesy pasta with added cheese & tomato slices will be baked for tonight’s dinner.

Went for a walk. Cleaned the shower screen (arm much improved). Did a little digging this afternoon - stuck/ pushed/ wiggled spade into ground, levered up clods of earth then threw them into the bag. Some reading, some puzzling, a bit of self-care, food was all use ups.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage10
