1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. CLEAN ONE ROOM (TOP TO BOTTOM) EVERY MONTH (hopefully 3 weekly by the end of the year)Friday was an overcast, dreary & cold day. DH went to sm for a medium sized shop. I finished the last of the hm soup, DH had a couple of cheese rolls. I did sweet f*nny *d*ms apart from clear down programmes from the planner. Dinner was oven cooked sausages, mash & plum tomatoes. Wudupa.
Saturday is another overcast, dreary & cold day. DH has zizzed all the vegetable peelings, 2 full buckets - one for the wormeries & one for the compost bin. Has spoken to his DSis - only the youngest of the older adults (age 52) has not yet had a vaccine 👏
My activity has been restricted to wiping, sorting & putting away all the vegetables. Put money in savings pot - finally 😉 Also continuing to clear down TV planner - currently watching the Divergent series of movies. DSis has spent most of the last two days in her room - only venturing out to make drinks & eat.511 - 514 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, cardboard packaging, cardboard box - recycled515 - 516 Kitchen detritus, plastic packaging - binned
What a lovely post balabooberlies 🙂 You have hit the nail on the head & such a succinct description - “glow of loveliness” Reading & posting on the OS Threads is an antidote to the general downheartedness & fatigue of life in this Covid19 world. Reminds me of the Kevin Costner movie The Postman - our hope has come in the form of vaccinations & the Roadmap out of Lockdown 🙂
Not a rant at all TC77 🙂 Just a way of getting things clear in your mind & highlighting one of the myriad challenges we face when starting & continuing our Decluttering Journey. It is the need to balance ‘decluttering to save our sanity’ with ‘saving the planet’ and with ‘being MSE’ - a difficult juggling act at the best of times 😉You are very welcome vulpix 🙂 and hopefully I can cheer you up a bit more - I have been remiss in awarding gold stars 😔 You are more than a quarter of the way to your total 👏so One Gold Star ⭐️ is on its way. Well done on all the hard work 👏 If your cats aren’t yet enamoured of the cat flap & cat house have the neighbourhood cats moved in?😉
Great suggestion mothernerd 👏 How do you alphabetise your books - author, title or type? My annoyance takes centre stage whenever people don’t put rubbish or recycling straight into the bin & just leave it lying around 😖

14 items on eboy and still going, still trying to get more bits on as aiming for 20.
Been through the place with a bag to collect up nothing more than sweet rubbish and one old powder compact was plastic not of the nice silver variety, not sure if it could have been recycled but made a mess trying to get powder out so gave up and put in bin.
Usual rubbish out and plus one did the wudupa as we have eaten early this evening.
Brought myself some slippers for £7.99 with my eboy funds but still haven't thrown the old ones away so need to watch that.
I have a lot of jeans which all fit so will sort through those as I just don't need so many. Bag of clothes has joined the shoes in the boot of the car.
Paid my car tax in full for 6 months to buy me some time until employed. Do feel better with it done.
Me too @TC77 just warming up the feet.
Hope everyone is resting and keeping warm.

I have left off all collected up donations at the two CS I support - one trip yesterday with mainly books and today the rest. What an exciting life!
DH has had no ill effects with his second vaccine dose and I don't know when I'll get mine. Here DH as an over 75 is in the first group and now all over 50 with health issues can get theirs. Then I read today that it's all being stepped up in the areas with lots of cases. We are in a low incidence area and super compliance , with masks compulsory outside in urban areas as well, so I'm not over worried. I'm more worried about family and friends back home in the UK .
Mrs SD, how did you get on with posting parcels to France? I hope they get through with no holdups. Sometimes the post arrives quickly and sometimes it's delayed.
As I was going to the CS this afternoon I spent the morning in the dressing and cleared another pile of stuff. I feel great when I haul the bags to the car. I feel I'm in charge and the more I do the easier it gets. I had a great moment with the summer sick bag when I realised that I must have a!ready decluttered it akready. All those neat good condition socks!
1 pair of trousers
2 cardigans
1 teeshirt
1 leggings
4 tights
1 pyjamas
1 dress
1 blouse
1 pile of magazine a to recycling
1 uu sample of eyecream
1 old medicine.
Total 162+15=177/365
I've sort of solved my book buying. If I return a book to the CS that is good but I am also trying to clear the existing stash by reading one book from stash with every book bought from CS. Hopefully more space will.appear on the shelves. This is because I feel a bit guilty about the 6 books I bought at the CS on Friday ....
Keep safe everyone and hugs all round - we just have to keep on going.

Thank you for my gold start Mrs SD.
I did get out of bed for a few hours but been watching TV and sorting through receipts, other papers and notes and filing - counting as 3 (bin for recycling and shredding) 507-509
510 ood food (mouldy) binned
511 used up nearly ood food into soup - not a success, red skinned potatoes which I haven't cooked with and not sure go with leek and carrot in soup, odd texture and taste!
Hoping to get the other chair painted tomorrow. Hope everyone gets to chill on Sunday

I've sorted a little paperwork then gave up as it's to early. Ebay items sold 1 collection to save post as they happen to be local and another parcel is ready to go.
Going to try to put a few more items on today and perhaps I can make a plan to drop off the clothes and shoes this week.
Slow Roast beef today so will start to cook it soon.

Hi everyone! I’ve not been about for a couple of weeks so I’m trying hard to catch up on all the chat. Not much to report (actually nothing!) on the things out count but some of the rooms are looking tidy all most all of the time. I do need to get into my downstairs cupboards. They’re overflowing and I think I need to get my charity bags up in the loft out of my room to give me space. This morning I took everything off the dinner table and it will not be going back on 🙈
Happy Sunday everyone xx8 -
Hi, hope everyone is ok.I've decluttered a cupboard and now there's another bag for the chazzer. We've started putting charity bags in the loft as they were taking too much space up in the landing cupboard. Also decluttered some sad veg from the bottom of the fridge to make a surprisingly tasty soup.8
