2021 MISSION DECLUTTER and CLEAN

Digging commenced and all the filled bottles of water went behind/ at the side of the shed (behind the water butt which is at the side of the shed so not visible and not taking up space in the shed - still eating breakfast and rethinking my morning routine. Apart from making 'Sunday lunch' at some point, I have no plans to do much today apart from recovering from yesterday. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage9

The courgette triffids are now in individual yoghurt pots (still outside but in a large bucket to shelter them). Have sieved two more buckets of stones (swept several small piles together yesterday) and put various 'rubbish' items into a bin bag (bin bag was full but it has been in the wars and had several knots closing old holes - enough room to squeeze the roots/ weeds/ plastic and rubbish bits in). I looked at the digging but stayed where I was.
I have been doing a little mental decluttering and thinking about changing parts of my morning routine (last time I checked it took me about 2 hours to get ready in the morning and there were 19 stages). I find that if I take my time I am less likely to miss important bits or get flustered. Also if I feel 'creaky' when I wake up and could sleep or rest longer, another hour in bed means less pain and use of painkillers later (always trying to minimise use of painkillers). I have just started taking antihistamines for the year (I am bothered by tree, grass and flower pollen so it's more or less straight through) and sometime this month I will switch to using sun cream for all basic moisturising tasks. Thinking of adding a weekly 'pampering' session (more like basic maintenance) so things don't get missed or only noticed once they start to cause problems. More lists (although the daily/ weekly/ monthly lists have helped in other areas of my life so why not?).
Want to do more housework. Well to be honest, there's always something I'd rather be doing than housework but need to find ways of doing the basics as easily and painlessly as possible (not today as most of my right side is not functioning and things like cleaning the shower screens are totally off limits). So I'm going to follow the original flylady (not the one on here which makes me tired just reading it) and I know the first stage is shining the kitchen sink, so that's my starting point (and making 'Sunday dinner')My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage7 -

Half an hour of friend's paperwork done. She has decided she would like the rest back to go through in her own time. Great news that she now feels able to have a go on her own. Next phase - I have some photos of things of hers which have been emptied out of boxes. Emailed the first to her today so we can discuss it on Wednesday.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅7 -
I have had to declutter several emails to my ex-husband but it resulted in him paying me some money refunded by Vodafone to what was the joint account. I have no idea what or why, as I've not been with them since 2017!
Several more things sold on ebay, including two items to one buyer who asked for combined postage, which I sorted out & sent an amended invoice. She's messaged again, but still not paid. A little bit frustrating as I can't sort the label for the first until she pays for the second!2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Not much cleaning done so I will concentrate on that tomorrow. Had small person DGS4 and we decluttered some of his energy and my calories walking in the woods. DS2 came round this morning and he did a few jobs for me and cooked lunch before going home with children.
501 Answered email I had been putting off. A friend of late MIL wrote back following my letter about her death but sadly she had lost her own daughter to Covid as well.
502 Sorted new email address for history group and deleted old one with a great deal of help from DS2
503 Tidying in garden and repurposed newish plastic tool shed to use within greenhouse for storage without doors which kept coming off and had broken after only a few months
504 Old shed doors above to tip - hopefully I can take tomorrow and it will be open unlike last Monday when it was closed as full up.
505 Tickets for online conference ordered and paid for
DS2 also made me and DGD4 pancake for breakfast as I had complained I didn't get any on pancake day. Yummy.2025 Decluttering Campaign 635/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Have gathered a few clothes for charity bag. DH searched for a charging cable for phone as one split - he found the whole drawer full of old phone boxes and recycled them. I am thrilled that this occurred to him as usually he just keeps everything for Justin.🤦♀️
This afternoon we went to cash n carry - I now have enough store cupboard items to open a small corner shop - oops. We haven’t been for 6 months or so ... I darent even post on the grocery challenge thread!
Slowly using up toiletries and haven’t bought any more since you told me not to Mrs SD so I’ve been trying honest....
I am enjoying watching the secret slob on you tube. It’s amazing how much time can be spent watching someone else clean and reap the benefits of a beautiful home, whilst simultaneously getting by on doing the bare minimum myself. Oh well... there’s always tomorrow

Evening MrsSD and fellow declutterers, well I have just about caught up on reading this thread now. Was behind by around 60 posts at one point, surprising how things can move on in people's lives over a couple of days.
Well the only thing I managed to declutter this weekend were the old receipts from my wallet. Some of them relate to larger purchases, so they have been filed, the others have been torn up for recycling. Got a few more items for planting and container gardening for next weekend so hopefully I will be decluttering seed packets this time next week ;-)
My wife's anxiety is not great at the moment, daughter going back to school tomorrow morning. TV on in the background (program she has watched before) and she is playing games on her mobile. Difficult to talk that much to her today, but have reminded her that she needs to talk during the week when she is in the house on her own. @Floss appreciate the idea about volunteering, let's see how this next week goes. As regards my decluttering journey, there are bits of debris in the back yard that could go to the tip, but the next step is to start selling the odd thing online and see if that helps at all. Car boot sales are still a long way off yet ☹️ cheers 🙂11 -

Sunday was cooking, cleaning and general slavery 😂
Sold a few bits today hurrah so 2 items plus packing plus box gone to the parcel shop.
Well done on your sales @Floss
Have 2 interviews now this week so will pace self with any housework/decluttering/more listing on eboy.
It's a week of bills so after getting over the initial panic, I've just paid from savings to save me the stress. After all that's what savings are for rainy days 😉
