Sorry for your loss @Marpau - we lost a family member to Covid in December. It is hard at anytime but worse at the moment.
I'm on a bit of a roll today - DIL came and cleaned through - bathrooms, kitchen and floors so I have been able to cross off several rooms from cleaning grid as I had already done the inside of cupboards and shelves etc- just 6 areas left so then I can do a 3 month grid for March-May with only one task a week. Finished today Bedroom 1; bathroom; Lounge; dining room. Last 2 decorated before Christmas so decluttering done then so not a lot to go out. It stopped raining so I went out and planted a few seeds in my garden cabin which is heated.
Decluttered;
374-379 Pillowcases to Charity collection bag for Weds
380 Sheet to Charity collection bag for Weds
381 Purse to Charity collection bag for Weds
382 Downloaded photos from devices to I-cloud and then pictures folder
383 Donation to hospice done online from some cash given IMO MIL
384-410 27 books for charity bag
411-421 - 11 books for sale site - waiting for payment for ones I've already sent first
422-425 - 4 picture frames for Charity bag
426 Picture for charity bag
427 Frames reused for the picture that fell off the wall and smashed last week
I've bought some boxes and papers of MILs in from cabin to sort this evening but I'll count those when they are done.

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. CLEAN ONE ROOM (TOP TO BOTTOM) EVERY MONTH (hopefully 3 weekly by the end of the year)Monday started dry with a bit of sunshine but quickly clouded over & is now showery. The 4th & final builder turned up a while ago - he is now the 4th one to comment on the shoddy workmanship 😔 So far we have had only 1 quote (3rd builder) so DH will chase builders 1 & 2.Forgot to mention that the light pull cord in the cloakroom came out - no chance of repair as sealed fitting & the knot had come undone - wasn’t reinforced with glue 😖 DH ordered 2 new fittings which arrived late yesterday. So this morning he turned off the electric & fitted the new one - unfortunately when the electric was switched back on still no light 😖 So rinse & repeat with the 2nd new fitting & now we have light 🥳 So a very good job DH ordered 2 👏😉 I am in sloth mode yet again 😔 - I do have To Do lists but I am ashamed to say that I CBA’d at the moment 😔😔 Oh well, tomorrow is another day 🤞😉😉😉
“The other day” has arrived 🥳 DSis & DH have both received their invites for their 1st dose of vaccine (they own mobile phones) - DSis booked in Wednesday, DH booked in on Friday. 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 So with that good news, I toddled off to the kitchen to clean + reorganise the fridge 🙂 Nothing binned but a couple of items to use ASAP. Now the contents are more easily accessible & I can work out a menu plan to use up the contents.419 - 422 Two broken light pull fittings & 2 lots of plastic packaging - binned
EnergyShifter, I’ll take a couple of hugs 🤗 🤗
Nice to see you ScarletRibbons 👋 No need for major decluttering to post here 😉 Seems you are being successful by decluttering as you tidy 👏 The telescopic add a shelf thingies look good - I might just have to treat myself 🙂
Good work oceanspirit 👏Sorry for your loss GrannyKate ☹️ It is an insidious disease 😞You have been busy & it must be so nice that your DIL helps out 👏 The ‘Cleaning Grid’ system is definitely a winner 🥳 Cleaning, decluttering, seed planting, sorting electronic clutter & paperwork - you definitely are on a roll 👏👏 so much so that there are two Gold Stars ⭐️ ⭐️ on their way to you plus one Gold Star for your DIL 🙂Dinner tonight will be scrambled eggs on toast with smoked salmon.MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️Decluttering Target: 2021 422/2021Savings Pot:Be Kind. I am in my final week of work and only doing part time notice I said doing not working, so Operation Loft was in full swing this afternoon
I faced my nemesis and went up there myself. I have a fear of heights and memories of Dad falling through the loft at home when I was about 12. I have always thought it might happen to me, so avoided the situation.
Today's haul was 12 photo frames, 1 plastic box, couple of torn books, old school bag, 6 part rolls of wallpaper, 7 washing machine hoses, various shields and trophies, paperwork from our 2013 wedding planning and honeymoon. Then various tidying into boxes and restacking so that things are easier to find.
That brings me to 122 items
Tomorrow there are various items to put on Ebay, it will be quite profitable if it all sells. I will count them if/when they are gone.
Boris announcement was gratefully accepted as DD is a Beauty Therapist and DS is a Sports Coach, hopefully they will be back to work sometime in April.
DH has the dates for his Covid jabs, but as I am a young bird compared to him I still need to wait :-)
Best wishes to everyone
All the best

Last week I sorted out the children's clothes that came down from the loft. Anything that I would be proud for my children to wear went in bags for the local crisis charity I mentioned last week. So 4 very full charity bags dropped off at the crisis charity. Now I know they are open and opposite Sains I have started another bag already. I've logged onto their website and read all their facebook posts to find what else they take
couple of soft toys with ce mark gone in the new bag.
I took a look at the shoe rack in the utility room, 1 pair of snow boots, 1 pair of wellies, 1 pair of walking boots and 1 pair of smart boots all to go as too small for anyone now. The snow boots have seen better days, so they go in the textile bank at school - bag started. What can I do with wellies that my son wore to paint the garden fence (maybe free pages)? They are perfectly usable, just with a few paint splashes. Smart boots in the crisis charity bag. Walking boots are nearly new, DS feet grew in lockdown, so may try to sell.
I have ventured into the garage... I found out my DH has been hoarding the shopping out there (sorry 'putting items away') and I kept wondering where it was all going and buying more doh. So I'm slowly bringing items back in when I can fit them in cupboards. Have spotted a few things that can go on the free pages on fbook and we need to book a tip / recycle centre run soon for items that can be reused pram etc. Next door had a skip and he asked if I wanted to fill any gaps! So old washing basket that had broken and weird item of white plastic that came with fridge gone in skipAlso need to scan next lot of books for zifit, we get over the minimum and send in batches - each time they take books they didn't want last time. So many ideas for this week!

Great work Nicnak 👏 Dead batteries can be the bane of one’s life - I always forget to take them with me to dispose of 😞Brilliant work gilly1964 👏 One Gold Star ⭐️ is winging it’s way to you - conquering a fear is something to be very proud of 👏🙂 with the added bonus that you decluttered lots of items 👏 Fingers crossed that you have a successful & profitable sales drive 🤞 Hopefully Boris’s roadmap will be a smooth ride. Good news that your DH has his appointment 🙂 In our house I am the eldest but have no mobile phone 😉 so I am awaiting a written invite so will be the last to get a jab. C’est la vie 🙂
Excellent decluttering jacwins 👏 What a great question to ask re clothing donations to charity 👏 I did have to smile at the idea that your DH has been hiding & hoarding groceries 😉🤣 The silver lining is that your grocery spending should be lower over the next couple of months 😉MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️Decluttering Target: 2021 428/2021Savings Pot:Be Kind. Well I am about halfway through the wardrobe sorting, have 28 items live on Ebay with the same to be listed (and several sold or with bids on already), a large bag for charity donation with a growing box of bric-a-brac and a heap waiting for bags from another selling site I found on Insta. I've been quite realistic - if I didn't wear something when I was a size smaller, I won't wear it when I'm back in that size!2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
