Everyone sing with me.......
'What a difference a day makes, 24 little hours.......'... la la la .......
Tee-hee.......
The sun came out and I was born again. My brother helped me shift a whole load of stuff out of the middle of the room. We put it against walls and in the hall which I have always kept clear (ish). Now I have a huge space to sort through everything. I have empty boxes and wrapping for my most treasured possesions as I am hoping to completely change my living situation this year. I cannot tell you how happy and motivated I feel.
Even managed to get 2 loads of washing on the line and dried for the first time in months. Nothing has gone out yet. Still on 8/104 but tomorrow it all begins.
Sunny love and hugs to all

Good morning folks. The warmer weather and more daylight is tempting me and my garden into action. I am quite ashamed of my garden at the moment as I had an operation last year and missed the last tidy up of the year. I feel so much better if I can spend time outside.
We went shopping yesterday which sounds simple enough. We have to travel to get to a supermarket so we mix it up which direction and which Aldi we go to! For things they don't sell any other supermarket will do. I had a bee in my bonnet that we were randomly spending a massive amount on supermarket shops. Worked out that we spend about £26 per week. I was pleasantly surprised. I do cook everything except bread from scratch ,always have, initially because I was very hard up as a single Mum and wanted my kids to eat well. Now it's because we prefer it and I enjoy cooking.

I've just spent a lovely 20 minutes in the sun tidying my front garden & planting some pink allium & white hellebores acquired from Tesco. All the dead stems have been cut back, the hydrangea has had its trim and it all looks much better.
The sun has been replaced by grim looking cloud so I will retreat to my bedroom and start the radical wardrobe sorting. I've got too many things I don't wear and a lot that don't fit, which means I waste so much time when I get dressed and end up in skinnies/leggings & the same few hoodies & jumpers. Gawd only knows how many things will be ditched!2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Finally made it into the garden! 15 items to the bin (including a drawer from an old fridge freezer!), one bin liner full of weeds and 3 boxes of bulbs into the garden. They won’t come this year but OH would have binned them otherwise. Lunch now and then I’ll see if I can face the garage. If not I need to get organised for the kids going back to school tomorrow 🥳 Think we’re all looking forward to a little routine and normality.
Hope everyone has a lovely day xx

Hi there, I have decluttered a few times in the past and throught I'd done a full and thorough job only for things to feel chaotic again quite quickly - I think part of the issue is not keeping on top of things and not having clear routines for cleaning. My OH has no interest whatsoever in decluttering anything so shared household items can be an issue. For now I am going to focus on the things that are 'mine' that I can declutter. Yesterday I decluttered 2 cardigans and a dress that haven't been worn in well over a year. I got rid of a load of 'diet' books as well (around 12), offering them to friends or family who wanted them.
This week I'm going to focus on the home office where I have lots of books, half used notebooks (I promised myself at previous declutterings to only buy one notebook, use it until finished and then buy a new one) and various other bits and bobs. The whole area needs decluttered, cleaned, hoovered and spruced up a bit. Thanks for the inspiration on this thread.12
