1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. CLEAN ONE ROOM (TOP TO BOTTOM) EVERY MONTH (hopefully 3 weekly by the end of the year)A rinse & repeat of the weather for Friday - sunshine, dark clouds, showers & slightly cooler ☹️ DH & I were both so down that we couldn’t be bothered to get up until about 1:00 p.m. 😔😔
I spent yesterday evening & most of today rejigging my bookmarks creating new ones on my iPad. Lots of deletions, every file where it should be & the contents of each Bookmark in alphabetical order. It should now be really easy to find anything I want 🤞 I also managed to go through my medical folder - opticians, hearing, lung health check, breast screening - fortunately no health issues 🤞
Dinner was los from the freezer: Pasta Bolognese for DSis, cheesy pasta for DH & me with extra mozzarella & slices of tomato. There are spaces appearing in the freezer 👏🥳🥳
DSis did the washing up 👏🙂 & I dried & put away.

Balabooberlies, not quite sure it is supposed to work that way 😉Fingers crossed Nicnak 🤞 You would think they would want the skip back in order to rent it out to someone else 🙄 Yippee 🥳 the skip is gone & it sounds like you filled every inch of it 🙂🙂👏oceanspirit, Sounds like you have found the decluttering method that strikes a chord 🙂 👏 I quite like Andrew Mellen & I am still a fan of both Swedish Death Cleaning & Hygge 🙂 The problem is there are so many decluttering methods & I am so fickle 😉😉 Great work on the email decluttering 👏
Great work vulpix 👏 I share your love of using things up but mine tends towards to the food side - using up leftovers & trying not to waste anything. I do admire your up cycling skills - hopefully you will have success with up cycling your little Ercol chair 🙂 Well done on keeping the eating plan going - excellent weight loss 👏 Good luck on finding a reliable cleaner as & when circumstances permit 🤞You & your DH have been very busy D123456789 👏 Isn’t it wonderful when there are 2 of you on the decluttering journey 😉👏 A relaxing bath is a just reward for your hard work 🙂👏Great work GrannyKate 👏 Very pleased that you are training up the next generation 😉😉and keeping up the good work 👏I am blushing at the compliment gettingthrifty 👏 Is there any indication of when you can see the specialist about your leg? I am in awe of how sanguine you are, as it must be driving you around the bend not being able to go out for your daily walks. Which, by the way, exhausted me reading how far you walk 😉 I did smile at the thought of you fitbit telling you that you were asleep 😉😂Good work Gem-gem 👏 Garden decluttering & indoor cleaning 🙂👏
You have definitely had a rough old day mothernerd but with a couple of bright spots 🙂
I have to say that you have the patience of a saint 😇 Good news about the vaccine, hopefully your letter will arrive soon with an appointment within the next week 🤞 Hope you enjoyed the sausages 🙂 Thank you for the compliment - no sooner do I stop blushing from one compliment then I start again ☺️Welcome aboard the Decluttering Charabanc/s allie23 👋 Very happy that you found us & I am looking forward to learning a bit about you & your decluttering journey 🙂Great work lindsay54v3 👏 and you are already reaping the benefits of your previous decluttering efforts - 5 mins instead of 45 mins 🥳🙂 And you are so right, every little victory counts 👏🙂Very generous of you Frogletina 👏 Great work on dealing with another 4 items from your To Do List 👏 You are definitely motoring along 👏 Please do not feel too down about the stalled weight loss (wagging finger emoji) after all you know that you are a successful dieter 🙂🙂👏
Thank you for that D123456789 👏 Sorry for the disappointment ☹️ and I definitely prefer the idea of dancing around the kitchen 🙂🙂 Sadly, DH doesn’t really do the dancing bit but he does give superb hugs 🤗 🤗 & cuddles 🥰 🥰MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️Decluttering Target: 2021 403/2021Savings Pot:Be Kind. The weather is dreadful here so I haven’t managed out the garden or the garage ☹️ Not much to report, 2 pens no longer working a jar of sauce from the fridge that doesn’t look good anymore! I have managed to declutter a couple of modules from my uni course this morning so feeling much more positive about that!Have a lovely weekend everyone xx

Happy weekend all.
Decluttered a posh bag and shirt I never wear on to "the bay" - although not out yet hoping they will sell.
Dog blanket cut and the rubbish half has gone out.
Cardboard box to recycling as I have worked out the packaging I need for any bay sales.
Never usually have any food waste but today threw away an old unused ood scone, Black banana and small pot of salad dressing.
Just having a tea and hot cross bun but I will try to make time to grab a small bag later and see if any decluttering can be done.
Hope you are warm and well and not to lonely in this lockdown!

Afternoon MrsSD and fellow declutterers, well our daughter's bedroom has now been decluttered, tidied and vacuumed while my wife is currently at work. I would say it took approx. 4 hours with our daughter providing bits of help of advice. Had plenty of music on in the background to keep me going. I would say I have decluttered a quarter of a bin bag full of general rubbish and moved some stuff up into the attic. Thank goodness we have an attic 😄. Our daughter was surprised to see me waking her up this morning at half eight! She was not happy, nor was she happy for her room to be tidied over this week 😉. But it was becoming a jungle with stuff all over the place 😄 she is now in her bedroom enjoying the tidiness of her room. It's times like this when you realise how fast she is growing up. She is 10 this year and is still using a bookcase and soft tub chair which she had when she was 4. So they are in the list of things to declutter, am going to buy her a new bookcase with another shelf for all her books. She loves books and Lego, so there is plenty of space for her to enjoy these things. Looking to have a quieter day tomorrow, the weather is awful in East Lancashire at the moment so I'm hoping for a drier day with less wind so that me and my daughter can get out and about. Cheers 🙂12

Glorious day today.DH and myself had a lay in. Then went for a walk. Found 1p, 2X2p and 5p. Into our roadkill pot it went. After the walk, cleaned the car and then spent another two hours in the garden hoovering up the dead leaves and then weeding round the blackcurrant bushes.Feel that I have broken the back of the weeding. Hopefully, will have all weeding complete by end of next week and then can start spreading the manure compost around the fruit bushes at the beginning of March.Couple of boxes broken up and recycled.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

A touch of the covid blues today - I seem to have one day like that every week. Chatted to Sister in US and we shared our sorting and cleaning stories. Not much done but did spend an hour in garden clearing leaves, dead wood and weeds. There is quite a bit to do so I will try and do a section most days now depending on the weather.
Decluttered:
361-362 Pile of papers sorted and either filed or recycled
363 Water bill direct debit moved to a different account where it will get 3% cashback. Its been on my mind to do it so now decluttered
364 In boxes completely empty - everything answered and filed when needed
365-368 E mail folders culled or completely deleted
369 - half filled garden recycling bin with said leaves, dead wood and weeds.
370 Pile of loose change rounded up and added to Christmas Cash Pot in safe
No cleaning done but tomorrow is another day2025 Decluttering Campaign 648/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Right !
Everyone sing with me.......
'What a difference a day makes, 24 little hours.......'... la la la .......
Tee-hee.......
The sun came out and I was born again. My brother helped me shift a whole load of stuff out of the middle of the room. We put it against walls and in the hall which I have always kept clear (ish). Now I have a huge space to sort through everything. I have empty boxes and wrapping for my most treasured possesions as I am hoping to completely change my living situation this year. I cannot tell you how happy and motivated I feel.
Even managed to get 2 loads of washing on the line and dried for the first time in months. Nothing has gone out yet. Still on 8/104 but tomorrow it all begins.
Sunny love and hugs to all

Bala you sound so positive and happy that’s great 😊

It's ages since I have had this much energy in a day. Am convinced it was the brightness of the day. I feel positive for tomorrow. Glad you enjoyed all the research.
