    right then.

was out on packets deliveries today.quite ejoy the sunday delivery as most people are in and usually grateful for getting their item.
in our office we cleared nearly all outstanding packets.

however on returning to the office we had 17 yorks of packets arrive, with another 19 to come.
i havent checked the dates(maybe all posted after the last posting dates)
however theres no way we can clear this tomorrow.

tomorrow will be busy for mail & packets.
    standard deliverys in place.

forget phoning your office(if you havent already) as the door for collections will be swamped.
either call national customer services or go down in person. factor in 1 hour plus queuing.

i looked over the packets in storage for collections and its absolutly rammed. you would think we hadnt handed out a single packet this week!

xmas eve is always a nightmare as people get cards saying leave 48 hours and then come down ranting they need it today as its an xmas present.
last year we had tears and tantrums with the best one being the person who came down and queued ofr an hour as their special delivery hadnt arrived.

they came to the office at 10am and of course the sd was out with the postie.had a full on tantrum with him being (slightly) forcefully removed from the office ;)

return addresses on EVERYTHING.so many xmas cards are destroyed every year as they are poorly addressed and have no return address.
RM estimates 5 million over xmas cannot be delivered through this

Just out of curiosity, what happens to cards that can't be delivered or returned but have money or gift vouchers in them? And the same for parcels?

items of value are auctioned and the proceeds given to charity.
so Rm actually lose money on this 'service'

    busy day today.packets were crazy.
our office had to close to anymore mail/packages.we physically couldnt fit it in the office!!!

so night shift for the custardy on 26/27th :(

parcel collections were busy 1st thing from 6.30 ish but tapered off with it quieting down by midday.
usual stream of people at the last gasp and normal people too late and having tantrums as we leave the premises

many disappointed amazon customers.unfortunatly regardless of what amazon says if we dont have the packets then we cant do much.
we had all our amazons scanned and out on delivery. seems amazon have ploughed loads into rm's system late and are shunting the blame IMHO

lol well sundays are a good day for deliveries.however you need ot hit the 8.45 to 11am slot.after that most are out for the day.

start early in the nice bits like shandon and do the rougher bits later ;)

the office is rammed with packets.physically they had to stop recieving yorkies as you cant move and people start bumping into things.
