I am lightly tapping the keys whilst waiting for nail polish to dry. We are going to a SD wedding this afternoon and apparently I have to get out of scruff gear for the first time in probably 12 months. Tbh I am not looking forward to going, but we are doing a favour as the family isn’t able to travel here, even though we haven’t mixed socially with anyone for months now. True to form, I have already messed up 4 nails as I cba to wait for them to dry and want to get on with a few jobs.Wm done, dw running, DH under my feet. Just another day in paradise.
Hugs, sticks and spoons as needed. Have a lovely day all x

Hugs Narco, changing rules can make it so stressful.
Lunch eaten (a quick bowl of soup) and been for our walk, OH about to start next call.
Natty, a trick I've found is to take a photo of part of the room and then look at it, I certainly notice the clutter more on the photo than in real life. Realised this when I took a photo of a trial pudding in the kitchen and in the background I could see how cluttered the windowsill looked. Needless to say it is now clear. I just need to apply the same tactic to the rest of the house. I actually have a photo of what my dining room should look like, taken immediately after it was decorated when we had put back in what we wanted, I use the photo as a reminder when I tidy it.
Enjoy the wedding Fayolle

Popping in to give Narc0 lots of supportive hugs. Technology is great when it’s doing what it is supposed to. Take care. Maybe challenge the uni again if you aren’t comfortable with doing what they have asked? I have a feeling that was in one of the employer / employee clauses at the start of all these restrictions, but I may be wrong.
Mademoiselle - what a good idea with the photos. If I ever get a clear room, I would like to start doing that.
Watching the rain lash against the Lr window and listening to the wind how, down the chimney. Not the day to be baring my legs to the world, methinks.7 -
Big hugs to Narc0 xx
Hope the wedding went well Fayolle xx
DS has been to collect the last lot of washing that I did for them and he's taken most of the Christmas presents he'd bought - only GF's left here. More floor 😉
Bins are out ready to be emptied in the morning. Mr T has been and delivered nearly everything I ordered - I'll have to raid Mr Co-op for the few missing items. The delivery has all been put away.
Hugs to all. Keep going - we can do this together.

No Pigpen you are not being unreasonable, that sounds incredibly stupid of the school.
Well 3 x 9 hour days at the paid stuff are taking their toll. Some confidential papers that are supposed to be in my laptop bag are not there. I think I put them down on the printer when I got an envelope out of the cupboard and left them there, in which case my assistant can grab them when she gets in tomorrow morning and put them somewhere safe. If she messages me tomorrow and says they aren't there I am officially going to panic - I did think about driving back to work but I am too tired.
Hope you are OK Narco, it all sounds really stressful for you x
Our sheets have been changed and WM on, utility and kitchen half heartedly swept and mopped, but its dealt with most of the grime. DSs bedroom is piled with Christmas presents and he is coming home tomorrow, oh and there is very little food in. DH was home just after lunchtime but has done nothing.
Off to give the kitchen a quick tidy, then bed.10 -
Thanks for all your support. Checked 2 reports 'in progress' having realised that the exam deadline applied to them too - normally I get told when the deadline is, but this term has been so weird I didn't think of asking. Did today's assessment; not easy as she had a number of issues and English was her second language which makes it more complicated. Anyway got home, added scores and emailed manager. Arrived home as Mr N was Zooming with his mates, but had received a message from the husband of our friend with ovarian C; she is now in hospital again and not looking at all good.
However, did some drum practice on Mr N's encouragement while he cooked me dinner, yes I know I'm so lucky. Watched a recorded Midsomer Murders now come upstairs to tackle more reports, label up paperwork for tomorrow now I know I'm going in, and seems I need to add to Mr T order as they texted me to say I only have a few items in the basket (delivery Saturday) and do I still want the slot. It never rains but.....and there's a lot of rain around.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8 -
Good evening! I have just caught up the thread. Thanks Natty & Valli for the lists.
Hugs to those struggling, especially Narc0, ASB, YL, Fayolle & Round.
Narc0, yes we are now in tier 3. It makes no difference to me really, as I didn't really go anywhere anyway! MiL & SiL have decided that they won't come to us for Christmas Dinner, so it will be just the 4 of us and my mum, who is in our support bubble anyway. We have decided to do a zo0m quiz with the rest of the family so we can all get together anyway 😁
Paid stuff has been the same old. I have the screamer tomorrow & Friday. I need to do more Christmas crafts 😱🎄 The kitten has worked out that it is fun to climb the Christmas tree 🤦♀️ It will need to be redone at the weekend because it looks terrible! 😂
I managed to get the dys0n to work again (but only on max power), after giving it a thorough clean. I think the cat hair is blocking it - the dog doesn't moult much!
Oh well, sleep well people! 'See' you in the morning!7 -
Evening all.
More (((hugs))) for Narc0 xx and YL , and I hope Mr Jazee's ABs are doing their job on his wound.
Oh Skinty, your cats made me laugh, though I feel your frustration.
I was on the go from 6 am to 8 pm, but managed to achieve a fair bit today. I sewed up 4 knitted dolls (actually, I had to re-knit the arms too, as I have used the wrong colour for the hands: fortunately each one was only 26 rows over 13 stitches), went to my Z00m meeting this morning (though I chickened out of the afternoon session because of deadlines looming), decorated the birthday cake for my little godchildren's big sister who will be 17 tomorrow, took Rosie for a shortish walk as the sun set, wrapped up all the presents for that family, and drove 50 minutes each way to see them for 5 minutes, exchange gifts (including those from/to all the other godparents who live in this area), dealt with lunch and supper, and then sat and watched Repair Shop and MasterChef whilst texting/emailing. Nearly-17yo was thrilled with her cake and sent me a lovely thankyou note - good manners are not dead! I have just started the batch of yogurt for the coming week, DUPA the clean stuff, then WU the dirties, tidied up the kitchen, turned off the outside lights, filled in a short feedback form, and will put away all my knitting stuff before I fall into bed.
Tomorrow I simply must write more Christmas cards for posting. I need to call at the pharmacy for a prescription for each of us, and at the C0op for milk. Rosie will of course want her walk before I go to a routine horse piddle appointment at 3.30, then I have the joys of a Z00med AGM in the evening. This week is extra busy, but at least I can cross some things off my list, i.e. dolls and cake.
Hope everyone has a good day tomorrow, especially if it's the last day of term for you xx

Morning xx
Just popping in to check that everyone is ok - and offer hugs to start the day for anyone who feels the need 🥰
Paid stuff for me again today- yesterday a colleague popped in to my office to tell me that she's got another job and will be leaving early next year. Another one bites the dust.
Flying is the usual: bed made, birds will be fed and recycling put out.
Have a good day.
