Evening all,
Round - one day at a time is exactly right, keep on keeping on. Thinking of you xx
Narco - how awful. So heartbreaking. Hugs xxx
YL - so glad papers were found. I'd happily be your assistant if I was in the right part of Yorkshire! Enjoy having DS2 at home xx
Lovely yet crazy day at work. My sixth form have spoilt me rotten and I feel so appreciated. I have properly cleaned the kitchen tonight, and done all the laundry which is over the airer. I don't want to come home to a pit when my holidays start at 3pm tomorrow, so I will be up extra early to make sure it's all done. Click and collect being collected before work tomorrow, large bag of clothes bagged up for a friend, loads of general gibble dealt with. The order of the weekend is sleep xx8 -
Well I may not have started a report but have gathered together some decorations to go on the flower arrangements for tomorrow, put some oasis to soak, sent all remaining e-cards and put in a donation for the Carers Organisation supported by the Secret Knitters (today I found another of their delightful knitting extravaganzas - the 9 ladies dancing which is a knitted tree full of knitted cheerleaders!). Reviewed my list, crossed a few things off and added some. Early night now. Sleep well flyladies.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.7

Morning all
Made it to the holidays! Beds are made, I’ve been in the WAC since 4am as I have end of term giddiness! The dehumidifier has been emptied and stared again so hopefully the laundry will be dry when I get home. It’s incredibly damp and mild here.
Have the best day possible guys xx8 -
Morning all, keep smiling you can all get through today's challenges and tomorrow will be a new day.
Today has to be all about food, meal plans, cooking, writing shopping lists and sorting through what cooking equipment to be taken to the other house. We now know who will be where and when so that's a good start.
I'm up and dressed but that's about it so off now to open the windows and get a load of washing, a quick tidy round the living room.9 -
Morning all
Woke up early remembering that I hadn’t seen my new car insurance documents. The insurance expired last night. Needless to say, no more sleep until I had got up, checked, found them and printed a copy of the certificate for the car. The car is running on a wing and a prayer, so I need to fill up with petrol on my way to work, and will just have to be late in. It didn’t get done yesterday because I am finding being in 2, sometimes 3, places at once beyond my capabilities atm. Must try harder 😉.
Good day vibes to all those breaking up from work today - you’ve got this, ladies, and we are all cheering you on xx8 -
Morning all. Round - the same thing happened to me in the first wave. Basically came back from being off sick with Covid and told that I was being redeployed to A&E, no questions, just go straight there. Luckily I'd worked in a clinical role before so wasn't too daunted but was still pretty scary at times, especially when I ended up redoing my phlebotomy training so I could be a bit more hands on. This time round they're trying to wait as long as possible before redeploying so will probably get the call up in January.
Have a half day at work today so will use this afternoon to catch up on some flying. Might manage to get most of it done apart from the spare room / office where DH will be having his work's virtual Christmas party. Hope everyone has a good day, especially those who are finishing up for Christmas.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20178 -
MorningDown in the the dumps here, bursting into tears for no good reason, it is awful. I think it has something to do with it being so dark early, and the 1st time for about 22 years I have been in this country at this time of year. Hacked off with being unable to get things in my fridge as house guest a has loads and loads of veg in there, it will all have gone off before he eats it, so I got a clean plastic storage tub, put at least 3/4 of all veg in it and have put in in my new summer / office shed, HG can access any time and it is out of my way, it is also very cold in there.Hugs to all those that needs them.I'm very fed up and considering when all this is over, so no time soon, looking for a part time job, but I will have to see if having one effects my private pension etc.Off to find something to clean, but I am fed up if cleaning clean stuff................Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Kazwookie, hugs, I do agree that it is the lack of visibility to plan ahead that is so hard. It is so often the little things that tip us over. I admit to shedding tears when someone on here was talking about chocolate oranges being on offer and I suddenly realised that we wouldn't be having Christmas with our friends who have brought me one every year since I think we were at uni together 35 years ago! She has actually posted me one which made me cry again.
Meal planning coming along slowly, not helped my nearly 2 hours on a call to friend in UK.
Bedroom and living room tidied
WM done
TD now on
It's lovely and sunny so might pop out for a quick walk round the village

(((Hugs))) kaz. It's cold and wet here too, and my SAD lamp is working overtime: I don't know how I ever managed without it. Babysteps today, and coddle yourself - do something for yourself, not the HG.
(((Hugs))) also to round, Fayolle, pigpen and anyone else in need.
Well done for making it to the holidays, asb!
I am trying to write something for church and struggling, as usual. It will get done, but it's a bit like giving birth - a long wait, and then everything happens at once!
But on the bright side,
- my study is almost tidy
- there are just a few cards left to write for the Old Wives and other local deliveries; the ones to post went yesterday
- my DD has send me a camellia for Christmas (she told me to unwrap it early)
- Rosie did not bark at the postman today - she was upstairs with me, and DH opened the kitchen window to him before he could ring the bell
- I have no washing to do today
- my MSE plans to buy meat only when it's on offer and freeze it has kept us fed for a fortnight, so the freezer has now got space for my weekend delivery from MrS
In other news, the squirrels were racing around in the back garden this morning (Rosie nearly caught one) and have dislodged the loose end of the Christmas lights along the fence, so when I take Rosie out for her walk, I must remember to hang them up again.
Lunch calls.... any excuse not to sit here mulling over what to write....
