As hirer , do not use the blue text template !!

First task is your boss names you as hirer , in writing , so you get a PCN in the post in your own name from the parking company , getting him off the hook

After the PCN comes in your name

Go to the bottom of the first post , read the advice by Edna basher and use one of the two templates , adapting it as required , appealing as a hirer , or as a lessee , which is as day to day keeper

You can add a one liner stating

The driver was repairing a broken down vehicle onsite with the site owners permission

What you don't do is say I was repairing etc

There is no good reason to say "My , Me , Myself & I" at all , avoid those admissions , no comment is better

The urge to tell your story should be resisted !! Before you put your foot in gob !

Do I need a template or just a simple email from my manager stating
"Mr x is the hirer of the vehicle with the pcn ref numberxxxxxxx
    Full address "
  • That's pretty much all that is needed.  Plus your address. They must give a name and address.  It can be a work address if that won't cause any issues.

I'm assuming you mean my name and address?

I just looked into in depth and noticed they have the time and dates wrong ! I was not working on the 25th of last month !! Do I have grounds on this basis?

Get a PCN in your name First , stop dithering !!

POFA is the best defence here

Plus you are not admitting to working on any date at any time , you are over thinking this at the moment

If you are not the hirer on that date , your boss should give the correct name and address of the hirer on that date

Apologies ,I cant handle stress and tend to panic !
My manager seems to be rather difficult to get hold of too! Can I just email them with my correspondence or is that not a good idea ? As I have seen a previous post similar to mine doing that ???

If your work is ok with you communicating in their name, of course you can do that.

Yes, of course your name and AN address. Work or home, whatever is best for you.

As above , providing you were the hirer on that date of the vehicle captured on camera !!

Not if you were not the hirer , because if you were not the hirer then it would be lying , in writing

Either way , curb your eagerness to blurt it all out , it's currently not about the incident , but red tape

    It needs a few alterations

Wrong parking company , it's not CEL

Wrong hire company , it's not Lex

No Popla on offer because it's not a BPA member , so change popla to IAS

Change the bottom line to the full name of the IPC , not the BPA

If you don't have a pcn in your name, then you're not appealing. You've been told this

you need to tell them to transfer liability from x to y. Y is you.
