pigpen said:I’ve tried them.. they were rubbish. The dishwasher ones did not clean very well and even with rinse aid and salt left a nasty residue on e wry thing I then had to scrub off by hand..You can but try them!FLY-SANTA... my parcel arrived today!! I want to open it NOW... I never get this excited about presents so it must be amazing .. thank you!! Xxx can’t wait to open it all!
Anyone else received a FSS parcel but not said yet?
Long conversation (too long!) had via Z00m.
Some admin cleared
Under-stairs cupboard hoovered and re-populated with outdoor wear.
Reference delivered.
One doorstep visit made.
DH's letter has arrived from the dietician. "Eat lots of things that drip water when squeezed". No bread, reduce the amount of potato, no mention of pasta or rice... so not a lot of help really.
Rosie is now waiting for her walk, so I must oblige. It's getting dark already

@ionafan, Mr L do some that come in a cardboard box, and are individually wrapped in soluble plastic that dissolves completely in the DW. We've used them for a while very successfully, they're inexpensive too. HTH xx
THANK YOU, MY GIFT ARRIVED TODAY ❤️❤️ And huge appreciation for the recycled packaging and wrapping 😊😊 I'm posting mine on Saturday xx
WM has been on, clothes over airer by the fire. Spent an hour after work chopping wood. We've all eaten dinner and an early night is on the cards. My WM is a bit smelly, needs a hot wash this weekend. Have lovely evenings all xx10 -
My washing machine broke yesterday, i was out but my OH was home, he heard a loud bang but couldn't figure out how to switch it off so it carried on making a massive racket. His solution was to close the kitchen door so if it blew up it wouldn't hit him
I guess something holding the drum has broke as it looks bent like a dodgy hubcap when spinning and rubs against the seal. Its only 6 years old, i'm not happy.

ionafan said:Fayolle, don't ever underestimate how you and many others on this thread do, because you are also holding down paid jobs - far more than me, with all the time in the world because I'm "retired"!
Anyway today I had the pleasure of doing a whole assessment without a visor; the student had a negative test yesterday as well so we agreed that we were quite happy with the screen between us and no other facial impediments.
Finished early and had time to go home, grab a late lunch, fall asleep for 10 mins and sort some post out before my drum lesson. Came back through Mr T and bought some flowers as I'm planning to do our door adornment, a birthday and a Christmas arrangement this weekend.
Finished all remaining solid cards; just ecards to do now. Which means I can have a serious lounge/diner clean when the residual cards are out of the way.
Time for a bit more time on a report now.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.10 -
Good evening!
I slept ok, but struggled to get up! It was still a bit dark when I walked the dog. I managed to vac up before work.
The baby was grumpy today - he screamed as usualIt is so exhausting! (for both of us!) Luckily he doesn't do it all day! Only one more day until the weekend!!
Had a z0om Christmas party for the WI tonight, so a little different to the usual routine of collapsing in front of the telly!
I think I will go to bed in a mo, as I am tired. I need to wrap a present for one boy tomorrow, as the next time I see him will be 8th January!! (I only have him for a few hours every other week, but obviously I am not working Christmas day!!) I still have cards to write, but at least I have started them now!
Hugs to those that need them. Night night all!

Thanks for everyone's advice on DW tablets. I shall probably stick with MrAl's cheapest and put up with having to discard the individual plastic wrappers.
I have done most things I wanted to get done today, plus washed two jackets (one of DH's, one of mine) and some woolly hats that looked too grubby to put back in the cupboard as they were. I also WU the paint roller and tray.
The carol concert from DGS1+2's school was well filmed and very enjoyable. I ate my stollen later, up in the study, so as not to tempt DH.
Off to bed now before today becomes tomorrow! xx9 -
Last out, first back? WAC since 05,20 - not happy. Too cold to get up until the heating comes on at 7.00...9

Morning
I’m following along but not posting as not much flying to report. I’m still in a lot of pain although it’s dropped below the level of screaming agony that it was!I’ve managed a little gentle fluttering and last night I did get the Xmas presents for posting packed up. DH has day off today so will go to the post office. He’s also said that he will do ALL the house so I printed him off the flylists LOL.
I have paid stuff to do so will get up and on with it soon, I’m working but taking frequent breaks as staying in one position too long is painful, whether it be standing, sitting or lying down! I also have a check in with my GP for a progress (or lack of it) call.
Hugs to all, back soon x9
