On that note, if anyone is interested in a lower number, now is your chance

#61 overpayment of 2547.28 for January. After using our 10% allowance by Oct last year I’ve been saving up so this is a big payment where the rest of the monthly over payments will be much smaller.our target is achievable and lockdown will enforce little spending for next month at least. I’m aiming for 500 per month as this may not be so achievable towards the end of the year.
thanks for updating.2 -
Happy New Year everyone!

Hello,
Please may I join? The part of my mortgage I want to overpay is the interest only element. I will have to seriously rework finances this year as have to buy a new car. My target will be a low one. My interest only element is now only 7,550 pounds. If I can overpay by even 500 pounds with the expense of a new car I’ll be delighted.
At one point my credit card balances were 23k plus and I had a loan, so I didn’t really look at the interest only bit of the mortgage, which was originally 20k. Now my credit card balances are “only (haha)” around 9,400 and things are under control. This terrible lockdown has at least been good for me financially
