Not that I recall seeing. Scottish Power are are being a pain too. They seem to have vastly over estimated how much electric and gas I have been using and my account is now -152.80 since the switch over.

It's likely you do have a Yorkshire Energy final bill with a balance to pay, which is why you are being contacted.  You can still log in to your Yorkshire Energy account at Dashboard | Yorkshire Energy (ye.co.uk).  Your final bill should be there for you to see.  Check the final meter readings match the opening readings with Scotish Power.  If you have a debt to YE it still needs paying.

Regarding Scottish Power, make sure you are giving regular meter readings so they are not using estimates.

Thanks. It seems that Scottish Power have been using estimates since the switch. If I submit the proper readings should this be corrected?

Yes.  If you're not giving readings they have to go off estimates. Give an actual reading today and get in the habit of doing it every month.  If your actual readings are lower than their estimates it should correct for your next bill.

Having looked the bills from them that should now be correct as the meter readings will now be correct they for what ever reason didn't take any payments for a while when Yorkshire Energy went under. Now left with a 250 pound bill and due to switch in a couple of weeks

For me, they didn't take a payment for a month and then took the same DD as you told them Yorkshire energy were taking, but as Scottish Power were vastly more expensive then it wouldn't cover the usage (whether this was sharp practice or a not very well thought out procedure is anyones guess).
    .
They may have overestimated your usage as well, for my first "final bill" they decided that I'd used about 4 months of electricity in 1 month. The gas was underestimated, so I don't think it was nefarious (unless they are also incompetent).

Just out of interest for those of us who changed supplier from Scottish from their "Energy Exclusive" tariff: people have said about a large hike in rates coming in a month when that tariff is ending - (given different regions are different rates) what is your current tariff rate for day and night (Economy 7) vs what they will charge? Just curious to know.

Just got an email notifying me that the Energy Exclusve tariff will end on 1 July (with subject "Action required Mr Feral Hog – Your tariff and prices are changing").
So it's a case of be moved to their standard tariff, or choose another of their tariffs, or switch. All available SP tarriffs appear to represent a price rise. That includes the "Exclusive Fixed June 2022 Y1 tariff", which they say "is only available for customers who were former Tonik Energy and Yorkshire Energy customers on selected tariffs".

Also had the email, but SP only seem to offer me fixed deals (1 year etc) or the standard variable. Fixed aren't much good as we are likely to be moving shortly. I may have to just put up with the SVR for a couple of months, as it will be summer so won't use so much power anyway (no gas here)

Yes, if you're going to move home soon it would be a good idea to stay with your current provider or things could get messy.
