2 loads of washing done, but for some reason it didn’t occur to me to hang them out in the sun.
2 return trips to school done to give driving practice.
2 cars washed.
Bathrooms cleaned.
Hair washed, bedroom dusted. Now need to find the motivation to drag the vacuum cleaner upstairs and / or to go into the loft to search for the Christmas card list. Having a cuppa whilst I contemplate. Thanks, Mademoiselle, for the reminder. DD also said she wanted socks and I had forgotten all about it. I had bought her a hairdryer for Christmas, but her old one gave up this week so she has had the new one already. So much for my Christmas planning!7 -

Well that was some party in the WAC last night. Suffice it to say that although the sun was shining, I didn't go for a run this morning as I thought it best to get on with the various things I was worrying about in the night.
- the difficult report is finished and sent off. Another started.
- put breadmaker on and made a loaf
- paperwork is prepared for the next 2 days assessments
- solar panel meter read and readings put on web site
- bit of knitting done
- family and friends charity present donation done on the Big Give, got all the money matching I wanted which is great.
- engineers came for well over 2hrs. Scratched heads. I stayed in my study and eventually ventured down at about 2pm when Mr N said how about some lunch. "That's not your happy voice" I said. Still no heating. Still problems. Possibly sorted on Friday. Dinner now cooking on lounge fire and microwave. I'm doing that while Mr N has gone to collect from Mr T
- good news that my mum successfully set up her advent calendar which I'd finally managed to get a £5 Google Play credit for.
- various miscellaneous bits of admin. Music college seems to have got confused; I'm changing drum tutor as mine is now only doing Saturdays. I confirmed the one I want, on a Thurs at 3.30 starting next week only to get an email "that's fine, I've booked you in for Wed 2nd". What? I emailed straight back but no reply yet. Treacle, wading.
- as we missed church group last week I feel obliged to 'go' to this evenings but think I will say at the outset I can only do an hour; the previous time it went on for ages. Think it will be the laptop in the warm lounge rather than my PC upstairs.
Quite pleased in a way that my brother doesn't have work up here this week although it does mean that the house hasn't had a good 'fly'. We'll save that for the weekend when we have range-powered heat, water and food.............
No news today from very ill (C) friend in Norwich. Yesterday they had lost last week's blood samples and given her the wrong time to see the consultant. She's lost 20kg and is throwing up 24/7. Really feel for her and her husband and there is nothing we can do but answer his calls and messages.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.7 -
Hi all
OK first off I have rung the new hairdresser and she has a slot this week, I am not sure if that's a good thing but I have made an appointment. I want to do something brave with my hair, I feel boring and old at the moment.
I missed the WAC, but I didnt sleep particularly well. I also got very flustered at work this morning, I have only been off for two days and my assistant had about 300 things she needed help with. OK, thats a little bit of an exaggeration, but still, the old anxiety threatened to flare up and I beat it back down.
Called to drop Dad's birthday present off, and DS already had tea in the oven when I got home. Yoga done, PJs on, feet up now.
No flying done today, house is tidyish.
Has Pigpen been around the last few days, sorry if you have and I missed you, if not hope things are OK x7 -
Evening all
I dragged myself through the day after my time in the WAC, hardly any flying to report, you’ve all been much more productive than me! Dailies were done and wm x 1, hip and back very painful again so I didn’t feel up to much else, physio done and took delivery of some Xmas presents that need to be wrapped and sent off this weekend.
I did manage to complete a work project that received excellent feedback from my manager so that cheered me up this afternoon.
I’m heading for an early night and praying for a full nights sleep. Hugs to those in need xx7 -
Morning. About to start paid stuff. Will report back with flying later.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Morning all
About to get changed into gym stuff and do my exercise class, then paid stuff at home, have to be at the docs for a routine blood test at 10am, need to make a site visit and check a couple of things for work on my way back home. Think it might be curry for tea. Will check on the laundry situation when I get my shower. Need to get some wrapping paper as I have Christmas presents in bags and boxes scattered around my office.
Well done on the work project BadCat. Hope your friend is improving Narco.
Have a good Wednesday everyone x5 -
Good morning all,
I kept the WAC seat warm last night, consequently firing on Slow this morning. I’ve had an on-off headache for the past week or so, which is starting to concern as I’m not normally a headache person. DD’s friends are starting to crumble under the CV fallout and my heart goes out to them, whilst hoping that DD is resilient enough to carry through. Sorry for the whine, I’ll dust myself down and get ready for work. Wm on, ironing pile ready for this evening. Christmas card list finally found, just where I first looked.
Well done, Badcat, surely well deserved.
Hugs to you, Narc0.
Have a lovely day all x6
