Good morning everyone, I had a bad week last week in terms of flying and productivity but I'm getting back into it this week.
My list for today:
- Declutter the kitchen table
- Spend 2 hours on freelance work
- Dentist appointment
- Spend 5 hours on uni work
- Check banking and ensure enough to cover 1st d/d’s
- Update festive shopping lists
I think that is everything for today. Hope everyone has a productive day.

Good morning!
I'm in! Thanks Natty for the lists, and thanks Valli for last week.
I am sat waiting for the gas engineer (again!). We are still having problems with the heating being constantly on despite being turned off! Sorry Narc0!!!
I have had breakfast, but I am currently sat with a sleeping kitten curled up on me, so I can't move! 😉
I will make a little list....
Round 1
Check emails (I have loads unopened!!)
Check bank accounts
Attendance data for LA
Research chest of drawers for DS to go on landing
All those jobs can be done without moving 😂
On todays list is also:
Meal plan (this has really worked the last 2 weeks! 👍)
Shopping list
Food shop
Move sofa and clean underneath (look for signs of small furries 🐀😱)
Dig out Christmas craft box for the kids
Clean bathroom
Clean kitchen
Stop press: engineer is here - I had to move the kitten, but he is back on my lap now! 😂
DH is out on a long run. When he is back I will put on a wash. Our bedding was done yesterday.
No allotment today, as I won't have time! I did pop down on Saturday, just to keep it ticking over 🙂
Have a good day everyone! Hugs to those that need them6 -
Morning all
A day off today, and a lie until 8.15am, what luxury. Eating porridge, drinking coffee, and thinking about doing some exercise. I am going to have a blitz on the LR this morning before I put the tree up. DH went through the annual performance of putting 3 heavy cricket bags in the loft last night and bringing down the Christmas decs, which is fun as we dont have a loft ladder.
I have a bit of voluntary paperwork to do and I want to ring and make an appointment for my hair which has only been cut once since March, and is a bit desperate. I want to try a new hairdresser but keep putting off ringing up because I find these things a bit scary.
I might call and see my parents too as it is Dad's birthday tomorrow, or I might go after work tomorrow, will see how today works out. Oh and although it is technically a day off I have to attend a work meeting tonight, but it shouldnt take long.

Bedding changed, DHs dressing changed, first wash load on, bedroom dusted of a fashion, whole house vacuumed, swept and steam mopped. Washing up done. Christmas present parcels ready to post today while I'm at the shop. Dailies completed.
Physio next.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Washing hung up, jewellery bits of my mum’s that Dsis wanted sorted out, 2 packages wrapped. Been to PO, where postmistress must be MSE - she rewrapped one to make it fit the large letter size, not small parcel, so saving ££s. Just working out what else I can procrastinate with to avoid the admin list...ooohhhh recycling bins can be brought in 🤣6

Morning all
Paid stuff for me today (breaking to boil the kettle at the moment!) before starting I have...
made bed, opened bedroom windows for a while
tidied lounge, again with the windows open for a bit
a few dishes washed up and left to dry
wm set to swish... it’s finished and I’ve just put the stuff on the airer
en suite swished over after we had both showered
other dailies done
yesterdays dry laundry folded and in to airing cupboard... that needs sorting again later!
physio exercises done, painkillers taken!
back to it now, I did quite a few kitchen jobs yesterday evening but I will see what else I can manage between finishing paid stuff and my zoom book club this evening.
take care all, back later x6 -
WM on and now in TD
Long chat with DD1

Lunch, made and eaten,
Been for a bracing post lunch walk with OH, we are lucky enough to have a lovely 40 minute walk around a lake here so when he works from home we eat lunch and then go straight out and walk. He had a call so we had to be back on time so left the clearing up from lunch so I have that to do now. But have just made our post lunch coffee so am going to drink that. I say clear up it is actually just 1 pan and 1 pyrex dish to wash, shoved stuff in the DW whilst making coffee.
Christmas plan is starting to come together so might spend a bit of time thinking about what we're going to eat. And more importantly how to make chocolate spong puddings as my DD1 doesn't like dried fruit and our friends who usually join us for Xmas bring individual chocolat ones from UK.
Can I make individual chocolate sponge in ramekin dishes? Any ideas, recipes most welcome.
Letter received confirming I don't have to pay the local tax I contested 2 weeks ago, €€€ saved!
Just had a call advising that new tenants want to move in mid December so very pleased as was thinking it would be more like end of January or even February. Now need to chase up man who is fitting new kitchen units in there, he said he could fit them tomorrow hopefully and I will get him to do a few other small repairs that are needed.8 -
Physio done, some knitting, and washing is up to date and on airers. Lunch eaten and dishes washed. Going to read my book for a while then pop to the shop.Spend less now, work less later.8
