I respectfully disagree that Bitcoin will ever be eclipsed by Ethereum, that narrative has been out for years but it is showing no signs of happening any time soon.
Ethereum is a centralised mess that keeps changing its course, at the whims of Vitalik, this is impossible with Bitcoin, so it has the trust and its leading by a country mile.
Yes ETH is a platform for other apps, so there is potential to make money if something massive happens with tech built on ETH, but to me Bitcoin has already the decentralised race1 -

But yeah I get your points on BTC, it will always be the flagship for the whole industry.
Those two are my biggest bags anyway and always will be (unless some random DeFi coin does 100x out of nowhere!)1 -
I will add some eventually as a crypto hedge, maybe, but only after I have hit my BTC goal ! Which I guess may always be further away0

I wander if I PMd all of the cryptites in this thread, how many would turn out to be promoting (read selling) what they claim to be holding.0

Yah coz the £1k in total invested into BTC from readers here would pump the market and make me filthy rich....0

I've got £1k of BTC. £1K of DOGE. And £100 of XLM.
I will be putting a grand or two more into crypto this week. Which coins do people recommend?
I am interested in XLM and XRP because some say they could be used heavily in the economy in future. But XRP isn't on Coinbase, and I can't be bothered with other exchanges...0 -

I am interested in XLM and XRP because some say they could be used heavily in the economy in future. But XRP isn't on Coinbase, and I can't be bothered with other exchanges...This is the standard of investing these days. "I'm going to ask strangers on the internet to *recommend* specific financial products that have no intrinsic value, security, guarantee by anyone, economic utility or cashflow, in an industry that abounds with so much fraud even Jordan Belfort would say 'damn that's a lot of fraud', for me to throw my money away".5
