I stopped all trades, losing out probably around £50.00 on the investments. I went to withdraw using their website initially to my payment card but this was eventually "rejected" after a few days, claiming they can only withdraw to Bitcoin Wallets. I have had a very brief search about these Bitcoin Wallets in a vain effort to try and see if I can at least withdraw back to my payment card but this is were reality is dawning on me that I may have lost this entire lot.You mention a payment card: if it is a credit card you should make a "section 75 claim" and if it is a debit card you should make a "chargeback". Chargebacks are less likely to succeed as refunds depend on the card issuer's own policies while section 75 claims are statutory consumer law. Either way, you tell the card issuer that you paid for cryptocurrency but it has not been delivered as it was a scam. There is a good chance they will reject the claim as "investment / gambling losses" - if so you should push back as paying for cryptocurrency and never receiving it is not the same thing as buying some cryptocurrency, receiving it and losing money on it.Otherwise your £200 is gone. Walk away and change your email address and phone number as you are on a suckers list, and could otherwise get scammed again in the future. If anyone claims they can get your £200 back it is a scam.Edible geranium0 -

Ohhh Bitcoin and especially, Ethereum, nice candle lit show that will lit your pocket and might lit but could also burn your pension pot ...I will treat these cryptos as my pension as I will not sell it, only add them when there is significant dip on the strong resistance level ...And the comment of value creation on this thread ? Well, value is in the eye of their beholders and you could only appreciate the value creation if you keep learning an open your mind to something new, learning what they are doing and what they could do in the future.
The vidoes that I have posted previoulsy explain a lot of things coming from people who know well what they are talking about and not from random people on the internet. And when coming to disruptive innovarion in technology such as Cryptos, Block Chain, it is not a good idea to refer to Warren Buffet and/or Charlie Munger for the reasons that have been explained in the previous post in this thread.

Crazy bullish long term obvs but not sure we won't see a dip after this recent pumping. Enjoying the ride anyway.
NFTs going mad too, just paid 1 ETH for some animated video of a rabbit haha.
BTC 100k, ETH 10k,This could be a good watch for a few: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Uh0RcuaSJI&t=10s
I actually finished Black Swan recently, wont pretend that I could follow it all and wasn't aware that Taleb was in the "going to 0" camp either! Good read though.
The video covers some of the main reasons for the value, and the diff between store of value, unit of account, use as a currency etc.
ETH upgrade went through without a hiccup which paves the way for a few others, ETH 2,0 and potentially it being deflationary.

Crypto currency aside, Black Swan is indeed a good read!1

He wasn't originally. He wrote the foreword to 'The Bitcoin Standard,' espousing the principles of sound money. I have no idea whats happened to change Taleb's mind and become so anti BTC, but his fall from grace has been swift. I really have no idea how anyone could go after Lyn Alden - I've never seen her give anything other than a well reasoned, evidence based argument.Scottex99 said:I actually finished Black Swan recently, wont pretend that I could follow it all and wasn't aware that Taleb was in the "going to 0" camp either! Agreed. Also, the 3 part series from 'What Bitcoin Did' with Parker Lewis, 'Gradually then Suddenly,' is also very good. He really goes in to detail as to why Bitcoin has value and is an economic good. Its a pretty good podcast overall and isn't too technical so most people will be able to engage with it. There's also a great one with Alex Gladstein on the the history of money over the 20th century from the gold standard to the petrodollar. Would also recommend the interview with the president of El Salvador, mainly because its interesting to hear a politician talk so openly and honestly, plus he actually seems to understand some of the concepts around Bitcoin.Scottex99 said:The video covers some of the main reasons for the value, and the diff between store of value, unit of account, use as a currency etc.

GL, I'll be back at $100k to say 'I told you so' to the naysayers...2 -
I dont pretend to be able to time the market short term at all haha. I wasn't panicking at 28k and i've been buying most days since the crash in May anyway. Will just sit long spot whilst number go up.
I've never really seen much of Peter or Lyn's stuff but will be having a look for some more content. There's a lot out there and i'm already drowning in daily newsletters. Only thing I watch religiously is UpOnly.
Didn't know that about Taleb, very interesting. Something drastic must have happened to change his mind. Perhaps he's now seen all of his peers have bags of generational wealth and has backed himself into a "rat poison going to zero corner".

Although the article linked below is not about BC the question is shouldn't crypto related companies be able to stop $600m heists from happening in the first place?
Hackers steal $600m in major cryptocurrency heist - BBC News

I wouldn't read crypto stuff on BBC, their reporters dont have a clue.

Smart contract hack. Happens quite a lot because there's a lot of smart people out there and there's a lot of new code flying around when people build these products/protocols.
The most interesting thing now is people start following the coins and it becomes a game for the Hacker to try to wash the money out. Apparently it's some young dev just proving a point and he's gonna send most of it back (perhaps got scared with the insane amount he's actually got hold of).
This has happened before where the hackers stole Ms and sent most of it back with a message warning people to improve their code.
Hasn't done anything to the market, we're still at $46k and people are spending more money on NFTs than they are on houses lol0
