If I defend and loose when it gets to court will I get a ccj if I pay the costs owed straight away?No CCJ remains but they can't have £244 anyway. That is an inflated sum...this is explained on EVERY thread about claims.is it just easier l pay the £244 now? What, pay more than a Judge would order, in case you lose? Why would anyone do that? Losses are rare here.
Have you read the TEMPLATE DEFENCE and NEWBIES thread, and all the other Walton Wilkins threads?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD2 -
Your partner has no idea what he is talking about , the cat or dog has better knowledge than he does
Nothing will be added on , but £60 will be removed if you lose , or should be removed , because they have falsely increased the claim with spurious charges
I think we know more about it than he does. You do now too !! 😋😋👍
If you lose in court , pay up in full on your way out , or ASAP , no worries2 -

Sorry just read your last comment. Ok so I defend, and if i loose just pay up straight away and the ccj won’t be added to the credit file. Yes I have read other threads of Walton Wilkins cases. I really do appreciate all of your help!2

You don't want it on your credit file , so you pay up promptly , like you asked earlier
It's your credit file that matters , not the judgment itself, it's a grace period to pay up and move on with no credit issues4 -
I know that you need to be aware of the worst case scenario however there have been many similar cases that have been successful at court.
From the details that you have given IMHO you would have to be unlucky in the DJ lottery. Most judges are fair but there is the occasional exception.

There is no reason to think that you will lose, more like a win.
The pictures they provided have not shown the issues on that day, you have pictures to show the issues. They very CONVENIENTLY, did not show one side of the car ?
As Redx said earlier, "frustration of contract" is the way to go.4 -
Win rate here is at least 80%, but you MUST read read read. You cannot do this in five minutes. It takes time. You e got that time. The first step is easy - gathering info having filed the aos as instructed. Editing the template as instructed, will produce a good enough defence with only a bit of effort.4

Worcestermum said:Issue date is 20th November 2020.With a Claim Issue Date of 20th November, you have until Wednesday 9th December to file an Acknowledgment of Service. If possible, do not file an AoS before 26th November, but otherwise, there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.To file an AoS, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.Having filed an AoS, you have until 4pm on Wednesday 23rd December 2020 to file your Defence. That's over four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute. To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service instructions.Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.3

Thank you so much for all of your help. When I am doing my defence I will make sure I read that thread very thoroughly. I do get worried I won’t be able to put up a strong enough defence but I will follow the guidance and template the best I can. Many thanks0
