Thanks guys, don't think I'll need £100 worth really but might find some bargains for the freezer!January 21 £0/£100 grocery, jan 21 no spend days 2/31, £145.77/160 October 2018 grocery challenge 5/10/18-2/11/18

One more shop to go (the butcher, on my Mum in her absence, as a "little" extra - bless her) - I braved Morries rather than rely on the substitutions bingo tomorrow, and got everything except the nice dark rye pumpernickel bread they do, and a couple of jars of (Dutch) ready-made pasta sauce as the aisle was off-limits due to a smashed jar mess awaiting a cleaner.
My bill was over £200 but it divides up as follows:
£48.84 regular shopping
£101.52 formerly entertainment (now treats, Christmas-would-never-buy-normally, and alcohol)
£75.60 stores.
I have one more milkman's bill this year and then that will be it for me. I have an annual budget of £3000 averaging £200 per month for 11 months, double (£400) for December and £400 for stores. This year I have spent £799.89 on stores (!) but underspent in the now-fortnightly supermarket shops so I am currently £91.95 in credit so I shall probably aim for £3000 again next year but have a bit of contingency in case some of my favourite things attract 40% tariffs after Jan 1st. We will aim to grow more of the things we eatSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far
I also Reverse Meal Plan on that thread and grow much of our own premium price fruit and veg, joining in on the Grow your own thread

Final shop of the year done (hopefully!) although I forgot to get the sausage rolls so will have to get some sausages out of the freezer and make some if DH decides he 'must' have them! I don't generally eat them so I'm not bothered one way or the other.
Spent £65+ in Morries but after taking of the alcohol and Christmas stuff it actually wan't too bad - just over £30 so I still have £57.46 left if we do actually need to do another shop next week but as I said I really don't want to have to but if we do then it would only be things like fruit or possibly mushrooms.

Suffolk_lass thank you for the information. It's still a bit confusing but at least we have a better starting point now.
Goldfinches, elsiepac, jingsmybucket, thriftwizard, PipneyJane and K9sandfelines thank you for the words and virtual hugs. We're actually feeling quite calm about everything and to be honest with everything going on right now I'm kind of glad I don't have to work in a Supermarket! My health wouldn't survive going through another lockdown swarm.
So the Oddboxes I got were the following:
Christmas box £19.99.
That is a bag of chestnuts! Fresh chestnuts are a real treat.
Large fruit and vegetable box £19.99 (chillies were an add on and were 99p).
Should easily come in budget. OH will likely need milk and he may want some meat too. Other than that only a few little items will be bought before the month and year ends.
£330.09/£350.
£19.91 left.I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy6 -

I have got so much food!.
This is the first time I've been in my own home for Christmas - normally away with family so it's really been hard trying to cover every eventuality including Covid, Brexit and possible food shortages. Think I've managed it though within budget and without any further spends
Really struggling to decide about January, I can definitely reduce my budget but it might be a case of just fruit and veg minimum spends for the month in which case setting a temporary budget just for January is going to be the challenge!.
Tempted to declare now but will leave it until end of the month just in case.
