Decided to raid T*sco this morning, got two huge cauliflowers for 29p each and the usual 'whilst I'm here' resulted in cat food. tinned goods some more frozen food and bleach.. So easy to do as I probably don't need most of it at the moment.
Came to a total of £10.78 which should be the last shop - really well stocked with everything for Christmas and rest of month.
So including the salad bits yesterday total spend is £81.67. £8.33 left

Spare £10 off voucher for Lidl, so trotted over and spent after voucher £30.70, rounding up and down as I went still only came to £38+ so asked cashier to add a nearby item another 3 times to get to £40, some of the 19p veg and others I regularly use, eggs, dried fruit and nuts to make my own Christmas treats, low carb, tins and packets to take me into lockdown 28th, freezer already crammed with meats, so hopefully January should be already catered for.Do I need it or just want it.6

My post yesterday about the last shop is probably not going to happen!. Having discovered that L!dl are now selling most of their seasonal veg at 15p there may be a couple of small spends next week. Popped in and had a look, quite surprised at the quality for the price, looked quite fresh. Currently polishing off the first cauliflower to make room for carrots and sprouts!. Wish Ald! was a bit nearer but at least there is one locally. L!dl are really dominant here, they have shops all over the city.6

Declaring at £302/300 so feeling very very pleased with that!
I'm in a new month and using a new app to track my spending. I'm going to try again for £300 for only food for a family of 4. I've got most of my Christmas food just need to buy a duck tomorrow then I'll be done so hoping to stick to budget. Hope everyone is well. I've not been posting much but just caught up on the last bit of the November thread and will start reading this one.

I've just added a massive £100 but that's to cover 2 weeks; there will be the odd fresh top-up, but basically we're all in now until we're into January's budget. So I'm quite pleased to be have just under £100 left for a change, though it won't be quite that much once milk, bananas & bread, possibly carrots too (I think there must be a covert rabbit living at the bottom of our fridge) have been topped up. I still have to pay for our turkey, gammon & sausages, but they'll be delivered in the middle of next week & come from the Christmas savings account, which I pay into all year.
So sad for you with regard to your chinchillas & degus, elsiepac. We kept chinches too, when the kids were small; what characters they are! And sad too about D&G's increasing disability & job loss; this really is the year that keeps on taking. May next year be a huge improvement for us all...Angie - GC Aug25: £106.61/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)4
