Looks great Narc0! 😁
WULTD the pots, s&s the kitchen, took the boys for a walk in the woods after lunch.
Went for a run this evening. I am so unfit! I managed 4.25km, so an improvement on last week.
I tried to do a webinar this evening, but I couldn't get my earphones working. I will have to watch the recording another time - I will add it to the list! 😂
Good night all. I hope you all sleep well. I am hot, because the heating is still on!! Despite being off! I hope the engineer sorts it tomorrow!8 -

Narc0, it looks fab, I am very jealous!
Good morning all
DH has been booted out to the office for maybe the 4th time since March. Unfortunately I have to go to work mixed with a late school drop off too, so cannot enjoy the solitude. And of course today every parcel under the sun has decided to arrive. Luckily our postie is a gem, so will hopefully tip me off at work first.
I have formally asked work if I can carry a few days leave forward to January. I can but ask, and I know that the guidelines say that they should let me, but they are not keen. Yesterday was a manic Chase My Tail kind of day after 2 days off.Today’s flying has been to strip the bed. I will remake it before I leave, but I will have to run the wm later.
Re living by the sea - I used to, and do miss it. When the Flylady holiday home is set up (fancy doing that, Round, if we eat fish fingers and don’t have nits?😉), please can I book in. In the meantime I will dream on.
Have a lovely day ladies. Hugs, sticks and spoons as needed x8 -
Morning all
I am definitely a beach/sea lover too. I am lucky enough to have the 'other' house which is just a few hundred metres from the sea and a choice of beaches. Our plan is to retire there, the sooner the better. I definitely understand the spend less now, work less later approach. We were lucky that where we live and work now is not an expensive area and mortgages when we moved here were generaly taken out over 15 years so once we had paid it off after about 12 years we carried on with another mortgage based on similar payments (at lower interest rate) and thanks to some luck, bonuses etc we have managed to pay it off so are now working towards having enough in savings so that we can sell up here and self finance ourselves until OH pension kicks in.
All that to say, keep chipping at it and never lose sight of your dreams.
Good start to today as I did not allow myself on to the pc until I had
Up, showered, dressed
Windows opened and closed again
Living room, tidied & hoovered
Kitchen, WULTD, tidied & hoovered, wiped top of cooker down
Woke up in the night worrying about when our UK passports expire & Brexit etc so I have put a reminder in the calendar 9 months before for us all. Hopefully that won't keep me awake again.
Narco, range looks lovely, I must admit we have a very old one in this kitchen but it can't run the heating anymore and I haven't used it for years, I really should clean it up as it is a beautiful piece of furniture, classic French Godin, black cast iron with brass trimmings.
Time for coffee and go and fill the bin a bit more, it goes out tonight and WILL be full9 -
Narc0, I have complete range envy! I've wanted one ever since i was a small child, staying with my auntie who was a district nurse in Somerset, and visiting the farms with her. Sitting by the range, eating doorsteps of home baked bread, home made clotted cream (milk from their own cows left on the corner of the Aga overnight) and home made strawberry jam is one of my loveliest memories. And it was always warm in those kitchens. My goddaughter inherited a range in her farmhouse and of course the dogs choose to lie right in front of it.
So far this morning I have got up, made and drunk a cuppa, washed fruit from the utility fridge and refilled the fruit bowl in the kitchen, and dealt with a red cabbage that was lurking at the back of the fridge - it is now braising with the last of the apples from DS1's garden, so very MSE. It will soon smell like Christmas in this house!
Once we've had breakfast (DH "kept out of my way" while I was finishing off his washing up from last night - another greasy roasting tin left in water without w-u-l so the fat congealed all round the bowl ugh!!! - and chopping the cabbage, so breakfast is only just underway) I shall deal with a major frog and write a response (deadline 4th December) to a consultation document from work. Actually I'm quite glad I didn't write it sooner as last night's Z00m meeting gave me some further insight and vocabulary to put my arguments forward more succinctly than I could have done earlier.
I also need to do WMx2, and the sun is shining so I might even hang it outside.
Count me in for the Flylady holiday home by the sea
(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks to everyone as needed xx

Morning xx
I'm up! Laundry shuffle done. WM swishing. First brew sipped. My bed is made.
DS and I are fine. GF still feels rough and can't taste or smell anything but doesn't seem to be any worse than yesterday.
I don't want to move from here Fayolle - but I love the sea so we can have trips out to the coast when you visit. It's only 25 miles away- near enough for us to get sea frets and sea breezes. Have you heard of Cleethorpes?
Round 1 =
get dressed
bring in the emptied bin
feed the birds
breakfast
Stay safe

Good morning!
Paid stuff today. Just having a cuppa while the boys play & I wait for the baby's milk to cool down.
WM x1 in the TD.
Had a call this morning from the lady with the kitten. It is apparently 12 weeks old. I was about to start work, so I asked her to send over some photos & details (dob, price, etc). She didn't know what to say when I asked how much, so I don't think she is scamming me! I will then arrange to go and see it - I'm not sure how this works in lockdown? 🤷♀️
Have a good day everyone!8 -

Kitten sounds good, GI. Not everybody wants to sell their cat's offspring, so maybe you just flummoxed the lady by asking her how much?kazwookie said:Well the Christmas cake I bought has totally vanished.I'm making scones this afternoon and going to lock the tin!
