Sitting down now as my leg is playing up but I have walked the dogs, popped to local shop, s&sd bathrooms, scrubbed kitchen sink, hoovered through, ordered stuff online, done dailies and had a quick FaceTime with DD.Spend less now, work less later.6

Back again
Soup finished, batched up for freezer, lovely smells wafting through the house from the sc... looking forward to that this evening, kitchen chaos put to rights, wm loaded again ready for washing in the morning, short slow walk done, not too painful so that’s good. Back to my book now and maybe a cheeky snooze as I’m still not sleeping well in the night. DH is still working and is likely to be some time.
see you on the new thread xx5 -

Valli, whatever are you going to do with your time now that your house is up to standard?!?!
I have pegged out washing; it's probably dry, cleaned the hutch and repositioned it; still needs fresh sawdust, straw and hay, washed all pet pots. Stacked stuff in DW. Made a banana loaf (full sized) and 1 mini one as I wanted to investigate cooking time in a 1/4lb loaf tin and cooked a jacket spud alongside that which I've eaten for lunch. All plants in new border, and most of them are labelled. (and, actually, most of them are labelled 'peony') I've also transferred allium bulbs to the front, as the bunnies dug them up. And labelled them - key as I cannot see them lol. The only plant not labelled is my perpetual South African daisy thing as I cannot remember what it's proper name is. I've also done some sweeping down the side of the house. Going to clean the car when I have caught up with the thread.

Well, a long morning not to plan. Essentially I was out for an hour or so longer at the stables with DD (actually sitting in the car with a flask of tea and a book!). Eventually got back and hot footed it to the allotment to plant...drumroll...the garlic! It was so nice to be out in the sun, that I went back up there for an hour or so this afternoon to do some turf cutting and lugging. Might pay for that tomorrow.
A YS joint of beef is in the sc, I need to go and cook potatoes and yorkshires to go with it. Maybe make a cake and crumble as well. Housework has been abandoned for the day (every room comes round again next week, right? 😉), but the wm is on its 2nd run now (riding and gardening gear).
See you all on the new threadx7 -
Hi all
Pigpen I know what you mean about evenings, it feels like you should be making the most of having some time when everything is done for the day, but then I waste it scrolling on FB, or watching telly that I am not even really that interested in. I am not crafty so knitting or sewing doesnt appeal, and reading sends me to sleep. I have started doing 30 minutes yoga when I go up to put my PJs on which I am loving but still stuck for other ideas.
18.5 miles out on the bike, DH came too, it felt really good. 2 loads of washing almost dried outside, have put some potato wedges in the oven and we are having them with cheese and beans toasties or leftover spag bol toasties for DH. Need to make a mealplan for next week and a general to do list.9 -
Evening all,
A lovely Sunday here. The kitchen has been fully cleaned and put to bed after my cooking earlier, and uniforms are out, bags packed etc. The whole house has had a much needed hoover too, we've been outdoors more than in this weekend so lots of bits of grass and leaves were in the hallway!See you all on the new thread, sleep well all xx8 -

I have washed my car - including gently but carefully removing some dried on mortar which I will put down to next doors wall builders. I would have moved it had I been asked to. Anyway, it's off so no harm done. I've also checked oil (fine) and windscreen wash (topped up) and coolant (also fine).
Yesterday's and today's line dried washing ironed and now airing. I'm loving the vastly reduced amount of laundry/ironing!
So - you lot would probably like a new thread...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
