(((Hugs))) to you, round; more GWS wishes to DS's girlfriend, and fingers crossed for him and you.
Welcome back MMM. Your lists haven't got any shorter in your absence!
I didn't manage everything I had planned to do today in the study, but I mowed the grass and have done a bit of cooking, with extra portions to go in the fridge or freezer. No waste here! (very MSE). NB I do not mean that I cooked the grass, despite watching Masterchef!8 -
Welcome back MMM.
Echoing Ionafan's wishes for get well wishes to all sickies.
Returned home from uni to find most of pipes connected to range plus a man in my study doing something to the radiator. Given up sanitising everything they may have touched, as with the garage and kitchen doors wide open for 2 days (garage opens into kitchen) there can't be a germ anywhere. And it's cold! However, minor saga that the wiring "isn't like anything I've seen before" declared chief engineer, so he has contacted a "specialist electrician" who is experienced with this make. I jokingly said to Mr N no heating or proper cooking till January then. Engineer looked alarmed and said he'd told the electrician it was urgent.....I managed to remember how to use the conduction bit of the microwave (or do I mean the combi, or is that boilers?) and cook some fish in almond and leek crumb topping.
Wrote a load of Christmas cards but will have to get some more; we seemed to have loads but many were inherited from MIL's stockpile and to say our taste in cards differ is an understatement.
Stopped off at C00p to get bananas and bread, which were both on this week's offers, and thought I may as well make use of their C0sta machine as it is double points. Huh no internet so no double points. Managed to beat it into action to swipe the C00p app though - I'd have really sulked if I'd lost that discount as well. Sometimes it's a trial being MSE.
Interesting how many of us pine for the sea. We just don't know where we would move to though - DB and BIL are both Hampshire and we wouldn't want to be further from them, and my mum Dorset coast, but the south is so crowded.
Bit of excitement catching up on TV this eve, 24hrs in police custody had my house in it!!! Briefly. There was a huge drug coup just down the road, literally 5 doors away on a small industrial estate at the back of my friend's horses field, the perpetrators have just been sentenced. We could tell the first arrest was a Thursday as our bin was outside the drive!!!!!
Sorted out a load of post.
Ditto a load of recycling - mainly as above, being mostly begging letters from charities.
Did some drumming practice.
Checked lesson ready for tomorrow's workbased student.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.11 -
Thank you for all your best wishes.
Hardly surprising that I'm excelling in my membership of WAC.
DS and GF were supposed to sign up and pick up the house keys tomorrow. I expect that they won't be the only ones in this situation though.
I'll try to get back to sleep. I'll make a flying plan in my head while I'm at it.

Morning all,
Round I'm sorry to hear that, GWS vibes to her and I hope you got some more sleep x
YL - don't nick my spot at the front of the queue! Hope your head has eased xx
GI - exciting 🥰🥰I don't feel quite right, I had a tummy upset earlier this week and it's still wobbly (no jokes please!) and not right. Still, it's Friday. WM is on, kitchen is tidy ish and I plan to nap an awful lot this weekend. Time for me to jump in the shower now, have fab days all xxx9 -
Morning all,
More gws wishes for GF and fingers crossed for you and your DS, Round. And a big hug for you whilst I’m here x
Hope you feel better soon, asb x There is a tummy bug going round our primary atm.
I love you all dearly, ladies, but my elbows are well and truly out to protect my place in that Flylady Holiday retreat home queue. Failing that, I will move in with Kaz to be near the sea, and promise not to eat all her cakes and scones. That will test my willpower a bit though. It’s Friday, not sure whether that makes me happy or not. Full day at work today, expect minimal flying apart from an attempt at the dailies. DH and I have leftovers for packups, so there is my mse contribution for the day.
Have a lovely day all x8 -

Morning xx
I love the fact that you are jostling for places on the Flylady retreat list - elbows in ladies. I'm thinking that as well as a trip to the sea side for those who want one, my guests would like a day at the posh hotel down the road - spa, sauna, swimming pool anyone? Followed by afternoon tea. Sounds like a plan,.
Update: DS and I are fine. I've taken parrots for a headache - but that's par for the course when I don't sleep well. I'm told that GF still feels rough. but a bit better than yesterday. Good news.
DS's Dad is dropping off bread, milk and ibuprofen this morning; and Mr M is scheduled to deliver chilled / fresh stuff tonight.
Round 1 =
set WM swishing
get dressed
feed birds
put out rubbish and recycling
breakfast and brew 2

Round.. I am sure you will all be fine .. at least it will be over with .. with most things if they don’t kill you the first time the chances are slim they will next time because your immune system knows how to respond even to changed viruses.. when people invaded the newly discovered Americas our diseases decimated the native population.. but they survived and no longer suffer from the same things to the same degree.. this will be the same. There is a big disease like this every 100 years or so but we also have modern medical techniques to help.. hope no one is super-sick. Do not strangle each other!! Lol .. 2 weeks in a house with DS1 I think he would have a breakdown and I would murder him.I have OH’s sore throat.. joy.. it started at Twinkles but he gets everything and now I have it.. I don’t even kiss him so he must have licked my mug! Lol
90 packs of noodles bought for my daughter for Christmas .. and a noodle bowl shaped like a cat..
today I need to remove some detritus from Moomins room, clear the landing and take loads of drugs for my back pain. .. easy stuff lolLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)6 -
