Its ongonig as nothing has changed. RM are still not throwing resource at the problem.
This could be turned around easily even with covid issues. However it would be at a cost.
Im hearing the briefing on the new RM boss is all about making sure offices are resourced etc etc.
Experience tells me this will change once the costs are realised.

We've not had any mail this week.  I posted something 2nd class signed for on Tuesday which turned up the very next day.  Very strange indeed.

Just being a wee bit nosey here, so if someone is a business seller or a power seller or whatever you call it and they post 100 items and say 50 get delayed with the pandemic.  Would the seller have to refund them all if they opened claims?  And what happens if the item eventually gets delivered?  Do buyers contact sellers and say "it's arrived, have your refund back?".  I guess you would never find out if an item turns up unless they send it signed for?

Doesnt matter seller size. no proof of delivery and the buyers getting a refund.
as far as Im aware theres no process to recharge a buyer after refunding bar a message requesting payment.

Once a buyer opens an a Item Not Received, a seller has a limited amount of time to either prove delivery or refund.   Failure to refund means that eBay automatically refund the buyer.   Out of approximately 20 INR cases, only two buyers have advised that their item has arrived.

the other problem is that when a buyer leaves feedback they are asked if the item arrived on time.    If they answer no, the seller is given a defect which can affect their sales.

I'm glad I know this, and wish more buyers did.  There's also a star rating for despatch time, so I'm not sure what the value of having both is - either they despatched it on time or they didn't, and delivery speed is beyond their control.  If I'm fairly sure they did post within the time they said they would, I just ignore the 'did it arrive on time?'.

If it's a day or two late, I would tick that it arrived on time, trouble is that the tracking may disagree.
    Move along, nothing to see.
  • The worst thing is that on the seller report it states ”items that weren’t dispatched on time” but the question is “was it delivered on time”.   Some sellers have lost their top rated status which can affect their sales.     The worst thing is when you get messages from buyers saying how disappointed they are that your item hasn’t arrived when “everything else they ordered has arrived “

Another INR posted on 6th January by first class.     This is shocking, I’ll be trying to speak to my account manager at Royal Mail next week.   I’m paying them over £1000 a month for this ‘service’.

I asked for a late delivery defect to be removed yesterday - sent during the height of Christmas and Covid delays though without tracking. Computer says no - I received the standard make sure you post on time email. You’d think that there might be some flexibility at the moment, but no. Thankfully it’s the only one I have so it won’t affect me, but they can quickly mount up of course.
