Our post seems to have stopped , we had a van with a single tiny package on Friday afternoon and since then nothing at all. I’m expecting a package from my sister and a couple of other letters from a bank that are quite over due.

I’m still hopeful for post today and I know my neighbour is watching out for any sign of a post person as she was expecting some paperwork from her employer last week that hasn’t arrived yet.

  • I’d say for the last three weeks I’ve had only post on a Friday afternoon, I get all my letters and parcels in one go and had nothing any other day of the week.
  • Our post seems to have been fine up until now, but today it arrived 3 hrs later than usual. Which is not a problem, I'm certainly not complaining, but it is extremely unusual and indicative that even here things are starting to be affected.

My post has just arrived, or rather part of it only, another 2 small parcels and one of the bank letters (the other one was sent at the same time but has not appeared). Half the stuff my postie handed to ne was advertising , hearing aids, a private hospital and a local rental place.

One item I sent to a buyer 1st class hasn't turned up after 3 weeks. Assuming it must have been lost I sent a replacement first class signed for and that hasn't arrived either after just over a week. I'm not sure if they're both lost now. The Royal Mail website mentions some postcodes that are experiencing delays from staff self-isolating but this location isn't listed so according to the website should be having normal deliveries.

I have 2 automated emails today , one from a UK company who dispatched something to me last Wednesday and one from a seller on Amazon marketplace (which I use very rarely) based in the UK. Both have asked me  whether I am delighted with my items- and if so could I please leave a review. but neither item has yet arrived. I do buy a lot online but this is now the 3rd and 4th items I have been asked to review on various platforms despite not having received the goods in the past month.

  • I have an item coming back as the customer ordered the wrong size.     It was posted by first class over a week ago, but still not arrived.     Stupidly I just told them to return and not  bother opening a returns request.

I have posted previously. Nationaly RM are capatalising on Covid to change procedures and massively cut spend.
They simply arent paying to cover duties. Postie is day off, duty can sit till the next day.
Fresh sick, duty might get covered over the next few days.
I assume the postcodes listed are where covid really has a grip of the DOs
