NatWest application timescale

  • Our valuation was done on 11/11 and Natwest received it on 13/11, I called them today and confirmed valuation all ok however it has not been underwritten yet, they said they are very busy and dealing with a backlog of applications and that we should have a decision by 23/11, I have seen from reading posts on this forum that if you apply through a broker your hard search is already done they just have to look at payslips etc to make sure they are same as declared on application so hopefully not much can go wrong, but still nerve wracking waiting for the offer!!, good luck everyone :)

Valuation was done on Thursday and they’ve marked that they’ve received all the documents now.

Currently at the assessment stage. Honestly just praying it all goes through ok.
Was your valuation done before it was reviewed by an underwriter?
Think ours was done after as our broker received an email saying offer accepted subject to valuation
Our valuation was today. What does your tracker say? Do they just tick valuation? Did your broker say how long you’ll wait to hear?
So tracker initially said they received it and they would let us know if they needed any more info in bold text and linked the intermediaries website - on Thursday

Yesterday it said it had been received and showed as ticked and said they’d contact us as soon as it had been assessed

Broker said 3-5 days but I spoke to Cora online and they advised that the valuation came back fine, that there was an issue with our solicitors details and our broker went back to them today and it will take 7 working days to update this and then the offer will come out.

Felt a bit nervous but they advised that our application was approved subject to valuation so it’s a matter of when not if...!
    2 more questions sorry...
how quickly did NatWest receive your valuation?

also, I’ve just realised you spoke to NatWest, can you just contact them rather than ask broker for update? Thanks
They showed it as being received the same day the valuation was done. The day after I made my broker call up and check what the valuation was

i just spoke to them online as I was feeling impatient

Our valuation with Natwest was done 9/11. Our offer was approved this afternoon!!
6 weeks from when application was submitted back in the first week of october, and our mortgage was straight forward. We had a broker to push the application along and we did have issues with the company organising the valuation with natwest.  It will come but I  know how frustrating it is sitting on the edge of your seat waiting. Best of luck to you all!
Did you have your application go to underwriters first or valuation first?
Our valuation was instructed from the get go. Glad we did as there were so many delays with our valuation, our broker had to get involved in the end and changed the company valuating our new property.
  • Our tracker has moved to offer :)

Did they ask you for any additional documents or just went straight to offer?
They’ve asked me for a few more things and I’m hoping that’s not a bad sign ......
