OK thanks.  The only letter I have received since appealing is their FINAL NOTIFICATION LETTER.  Still not sure how they expect me to buy a ticket if they have an engineer attendant with the machine open.

£100 is ridiculous for 11 mins when I couldn't have bought a ticket anyway

It is perfectly lawful, but frustration of contract may apply.  Complain to your MP,  read the newbies, and read this

Would that be my MP or The MP where the car park was?

    As DPD said, your MP.
But I'm sure the MP of where the car park is would be interested to see a copy - just to better understand what is going on on his/her 'patch'.

Ask for a copy of the letter they are talking about.

You can soon see if it has a genuine POPLA code that matches the date the letter was generated.

Do they have a finite time to tell me that my appeal was refused?

If you're referring to your initial appeal, 35 days.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Who is a judge likely to believe, a scamming parking company,  or a fine upstanding member of the public?.

@Stonker - May I offer some advice on writing to an MP as it's something I have had to do in the past?

Firstly, use a website like writetothem.com - this will let you send a free email to your MP and send you reminders to ask if they responded. #NotSponsored

Secondly, send the letter to your MP and ask them to refer it to the other MP - some of them get a little upset when people write to them who don't live in their constituency.
