Mr M has duly delivered, dinner cooked, kitchen tidied, 2nd load run through the wm. The indoor line is groaning like a good ‘un, just waiting for it to snap and a load of wet washing to come crashing down.It is wet and oh so windy out. I am sitting here with a cuppa, listening to what sounds like someone throwing buckets of water at the windows.8

Wet and windy here too. Got back from the paid stuff at 4pm, emptied DW, put clean washing away and did a little ironing, cooked a roast dinner, had a general tidy around, made our bed, ate dinner at 6pm then back to the laptop for a meeting. DH has done nothing except go to work.
Yoga done, bedtime soon.9 -
Morning all,
Dark and blustery here but it promises to be a dry day, so I have a huge load of washing on the go which I shall peg out before I leave. Spaghetti bolognese is in the SC for dinner, and the house is presentable. Not bad for a Thursday at all!I hope you all have a good day, welcome to newbies and hugs to everyone xx9 -
Good morning
It’s the calm after the storm outside, so I have stripped the bed and loaded the wm in the hope that DH will be able to hang the washing out on the line later. Clean dry washing folded, still damp washing moved onto the clothes horse in the LR. At least it stands a chance of getting some warmth in there if the sun does actually make an appearance.
Pack up made, ready for the work / school drop off / collection juggle that is Thursday. Tomorrow is an inset day for DD, but she has to go in for a short while. I have taken tomorrow off for that, so today is my last work day until next Wednesday. Wooty woot woot.
Have a lovely day all x7 -
Morning everyone. Back to flying here again today as I'm waiting for a delivery this morning of a water butt and then this afternoon someone is coming to do the annual gas tank and installation inspection. I am then at work just for an hour in the evening.
Up, showered and dressed
Bed made, clothes picked up
Recycling out
Spare bin found and cleaned to replace bin that broke last night, opening pedal broke and it was old and brittle so gone now.
Better get the kettle on and go and sort out a load of washing to go on.

Morning all. Beutiful sunshine here this morning
Yesterday evening I found out that I can knit but shouldn't do too much without a long break. Nothing that one of the strong painkillers and a few hours' rest can't cure
Today Rosie woke me up at 6.15, but I made myself a cuppa and took it back to bed for another 3/4 hour.
As a result, I had an early brainwave (careful now!!!!) and rediscovered the solution to the problem of the drawstrings coming out of DH's hoodies and tracksuit bottoms when they're in the wash: I re-threaded the string through the casing, evened up the ends, then put a few stitches through the middle point of the casing through the drawstring, so that it can't pull out. Two minutes' work and no more frustrationIt reminded me of when I was little, how my mother used to sew my gloves on a long cord which she them tacked into the back of my school gaberdine - I never lost any gloves until I refused to put up with the ignominy of having my gloves flapping round my wrists when I wasn't wearing them
Plan for today:
- open curtains, tidy round LR and my BR
- open BR windows for some fresh air
- FUPA dry washing
- hoover through downstairs (as usual, Rosie is shedding a lot of hair)
- probably WMx1
- send out individual FSS messages to all those taking part. If you think you signed up but don't receive a PM before the end of today, please contact me immediately!
- webinar at 9.30 for an hour or so
- prepare some crafty stuff for delivery to about 100 church folk
- maybe go and collect DH's car for him (so that he doesn't have to get a taxi) from the repair shop - it failed its MOT yesterday because of shock absorber problems which were almost certainly caused by potholes(Is it wrong of me not to want him to take a taxi? Because of his bad hip, he can't get into my little car - or if he did manage it, he probably wouldn't get out again - so I can't just give him a lift to the garage. I am seriously freaked out by the risks he takes, but he says I am trying to imprison him again.)
- 2.00 Rosie's walk - early!!! because...
- 3.00 scheduled phonecall with my boss
- carry on crafting / baking / emailing
- 8.00 scheduled phonecall with an old school friend
There is some flying in there if you look hard :g:grin:
(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, especially to @Jazee and Mr J, @BadCat18, and anyone else struggling today xx9 -
