YL - you summed it up perfectly - I don't know whether to be sad or glad. Comforting to know that I'll have my flylady friends to see me through the next chapter
Still not WUDUPA but I have paid the rent, completed an online order for Mr T to deliver tomorrow - and remembered a coupon that I had lurking in my purse (mse), (fingers, eyes and legs crossed that this delivery makes it into my cupboards!) and we've had a snacky lunch. I've cast my eye over the contents of the fridge / freezer/ cupboards and it's beans on toast for tea followed by apple pie and custard.

Me again
We have a sofa... yay!!! Delivery was just before lunch so glad we cleaned and prepped the room for it this morning, this afternoon DH went out for the food shop, I’ve swished the top bathroom, dusted and hoovered the office and spare room. Aching again now so am going to rest up, supper is an easy one, we will have it early I think and then we can sit and watch a bit of tv on the new sofa...
back tomorrow, have a good evening, take care and stay safe if you’re out and about in the wind x7 -
Narc0lepsy said:Poor thing is struggling with his RA, the new tablets don't work as well as the hated Methotrexate injections so he has the choice of either lots of psoriasis plus pain in hands and feet OR feeling sick for 2 days each week. Consultant next week.
I have finally got the new covers on the sofa and chair. The cats approve and, since I bunged an old quilt underneath to cover up the ratty old surface and give some cushioning, so do I.
Himself did the downstairs bathroom and a fair to middling attempt at the kitchen; if I take all the detritus he's cleaned around off the countertop, it'll be better, though. I might do that tomorrow morning.
He's also been informed he's dewebbing the bathroom upstairs, as I can't reach up and over without doing myself a mischief. He's not working until Wednesday, so he'll have time.
I've also negotiated my ideas for Xmas decorations - as he's done the full on multicoloured plastic tut every other year (and Halloween, much to my disgust, as it's supposed to be Autumnal, slightly creepy and cool, not orange plastic), I am getting, to tone with the blue chair, blue walls and other gold-taupe furnishing, a colour scheme of dark blue, gold and white lights, with plants including Ivy taken off the outside of the house as the other colour.. Or, as he put it 'Like it's out of the J Lewis catalogue?'. Yeah, that's fair. It's about time I got to decorate and have a space that I think is nice.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll9 -
Still not convinced the house will be carpet fitter ready by Monday but I can postpone painting if necessary.. I am a very tidy rollerer.. unlike Mr Slop-it-Everywhere!!
Homage paid
Percy trying to steal Squeak for his personal toy collection again.
Nutkin brought us a huge worm.
Pudding chewing a wire.. his name is VERY appropriate
DW been done twice so I have a kitchen
WM filled
TD run to air bits and bit folded.
Twinkle realised Jazzles does not have a 'moo' he has a 'plastic' instead.. of course... she was eyeing OH shiftily and declared he has no 'plastic' he too has a moo.. like her mummy and sisters. ...
Round.. I can send you a person if your house feels too empty.. you're welcome, it's no trouble and YES I INSIST!!
Just getting Squeak to her nest and having a speedy cuppa and trotting to Tesco for necessities for the week. 2 more classes at school closed so looking likely they will all be off fairly soon so I need to crack on with wrapping and decluttering and christmassing..
Still waiting for the notification about whether we have the grant or not.. in the mean time I am having CF removed from my mortgage I think..
Moomin nurse appt made but I need to speak to the dr about whether she is needing bloods doing.. she is very limp and sleepy and not full of beans like she was several months ago so I just want to make sure. She is scheduled surgery so needs to be ok or they might defer it which she doesn't want.

Jojo_the_Tightfisted said:What about a Biologic? I got switched to Humira (which was much better) + steroid pulses and then changed to Cosentyx (which people tend to stay on for five years plus, which indicates it actually works for PsA) in September and the difference is incredible in terms of skin, energy and lack of pain; I'm still nowhere near 'fixed', but I am, in my opinion, healing a lot of the dodgy stuff even after just the 5 weeks' loading phase. And I don't feel sick, headachey or wiped out after the injections, either.
I seem to have been MIA for a few days but I've done a bit of flying, lots of admin, 2 assessments and in the process of writing up the 2nd of last week's reports, done some running, c&c from Mr T and all the usual stuff really. Actually got my whole flagged email list down to 0 today although there is plenty of stuff on my other task list. Managed the technology and electronics for my first drum lesson via Zoom yesterday, went ok although I'll be glad to get back to real life ones.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.6 -
Morning xx
I've woken up with a headache again - but I'm wondering if this one is a chocolate hangover? Is there such a thing?
I brought the laundry hamper down so my first job will be sorting the contents into loads - that's one thing I will not miss when DS and GF move out.
Round 1 =
take parrots
brew 2 and breakfast
get dressed
sort washing into loads
set 1st load swishing.
Hope everyone is well. Stay safe.

Round back in the days when I used to go to the pub with friends and drive home I used to get soft drink hangovers, so yes absolutely you can!
Pigpen your comment about sending some of your brood to Round made me laugh, she could borrow DS and his GF too, I love them both to bits but DS is noisy and messy at times and bless them they cant go out and do much at the moment so we are all cooped up together a lot. Maybe we could all share family members with Round.
I was a bit grumpy and out of sorts yesterday, need to get out of the house today. I do want to make my Christmas cake though and we still have paperwork to do, DS is cooking breakfast first.

Round, yes there is such a thing a a chocolate hangover. Chocolate is a trigger for my migraines.
Morning all. Hope you're all ok today.
So far today I have done dailies except hoovering through, have watered indoor plants and topped up vases, cleaned bathrooms, sorted out washing and have had a very wet walk with the dogs. I was able to bung them both in Poppets pushchair and run home for the last bit. Poppet is now losing weight at an alarming rate but still happy in herself. Both dogs are having checks at the vet tomorrow.
DHs recovery is not going well. In pre COVID-19 times I think he would still be in hospital and I'm not a very good nurse.
Goingbto do my physio next. I am in pyjamas having had to get changed after the walk so will just be pottering for the rest of the day. And now the sun has come out!
Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Good morning all
Hugs, Jazee, and gws wishes to Mr J.Round - it looks like you are on your way to having a Fill The House rota 🤣. My DD wouldn’t take up much space, but if the rota is open to hulking OHs, then count me in. Especially today 😡.
I woke up to rain, but now it is bright sunshine. I had planned a lazy book / knitting / sewing / baking type of day looking at miserable weather, but now feel that I ought to be more productive. DH “has plans” to fill my morning - he needs me to help him stash more wood into the loft. As the loft ladder effectively blocks my way to the room where the sewing machine is, I have little choice. It will at least remove the wood pile from the landing, I suppose.8
