I cannot work from home so what tax relief will I get, shouldn’t I get the same as those working from home? I travel 50 miles a day and pay for parking I work 37.5 hours a week and continue to do so , what relief is there for me?

Presumably it's your choice to live that distance from work. Move closer if it's an issue,6

What tax relief do you think you should get?

You will (probably) be charged no income tax on the first £12500 of your earnings.
But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

I think it would be fair to give those going into work the same tax benefits as those working from home1

Your getting no extra tax relief. Get on with it and work and be lucky you have a job.7

I have always though you should be able to reclaim some a small element of fuel tax for going to work, especially in rural areas where there is no public transport. I worked for the NHS and we were relocated and got a small fuel allowance for the extra mileage - and never mind getting tax relief, it was actually taxable!
And the NHS has lots of staff working from home too - a lot of the NHS staff is admin and clerical and being done from home, yes frontline staff cannot WFH.1
