I'm not sure if I should do my fruit or chocolate cheesecake.1 -
OP I haven’t commented on your post before now but from an outside point of view you are doing amazing.
The midst of a pandemic makes things so much harder but please keep going with it because things will get better and you sound like you have a real zest for life. Good luck with everything1 -

I do question at times what I have done. If it was right, wrong and If I am losing faith. My Mom did the same and she lived happily ever after. I hope that my mom and dad look down on me and are proud I am living my life and I hope my mom (She used to call me her little adventurer as when we went away to Acadia for our vacation I would always go off exploring) is proud of me for making the jump to do it.
I've talked a lot with my boyfriend about being homesick and he said that we should celebrate Thanksgiving, He will cook. I had to stop him. If we are doing Thanksgiving I will want to cook. I asked if he was sure he said "I've took a days leave for it" So I've got that to look forward to.
He also gave me a rare insight in to how he felt about being away from home, He explained he was very much "where I lay my hat I'll call home" and When he is home sick when travelling he would find the most British thing to do, He said in Stockholm he went to a "British restaurant" that was not really British but they served British style foods, and he felt back home in a bad diner (or Cath?! as he called it). Or he would wake up and think "I'm a tourist today" and go and do tourist attractions. He said homesickness hit him really bad in Cardiff, He got over it by going to a co-operative? bank because outside they always put the corporate office address in Manchester and he said he felt like going in to the branch to withdraw money meant he was in a bit of Manchester. He said I will find my thing. He said at the end that as far as he is concerned to him home is where I am. Which I thought was really really sweet.0 -

Cannot go wrong with chocolate. I have been reading at how to make my own chocolate. Might have to try the first pieces on my boyfriend before anyone else.0 -

Love this idea of feeling at home in the Coop, it is a very British institution.
You asked about sole trader. Basically it means one person, making money / running a business for themselves. If it took off and someone else became involved, you might set up a partnership, which would need an agreement between the partners about how the profit would be split, how to dissolve it etc. And when you're ready to take over the world you set up a limited company.
But until you've made more than £1000 profit in a tax year, no need to worry because you won't owe any UK tax.
BUT ... are you aware of your liability to US tax, even if you live abroad? Find out through an expat forum, because I only know it can be an issue. And UK banks will ask about your nationality etc.Signature removed for peace of mind1 -
To me a sloppy joe is an oversized jumper, definitely not something suitable to be eaten for lunch!

I wonder if you could sell American desserts directly to customers via the Internet and local Facebook pages? You'd probably need your kitchen to pass hygiene standards and be licensed by the local council (sorry it's not something I know much about).Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0
