It’s Thursday so time to pot a few travel savings.  Feel like I’m not saving quite as well as the first half of the challenge but hopefully little and often will add up to a decent amount come opening day

Thanks everyone for your sympathetic thoughts  <3
How exciting for your DGD to be expecting a girl at last @Sue-UU.  I bet she's over the moon!  DS and fiancé came to visit last weekend.  It was so lovely to see them both and little baby bump is starting to show now.
Another fiver in the pot today.  Look after yourselves Potters and enjoy the weekend.

Hello SPCers 😊 I hope you've had a lovely week!! Enjoy the weekend too. Stay safe and healthy!!   If any members are either ill or low in any way, please take great care and I sincerely hope you're all well and that you will soon be back with us. For now, take great care and be kind to yourselves. 3

At least you're still potting, Ant, but if you can't save more, then...! All the best in picking some up, so to speak. 🤔

Thanks very much indeed, Siju, I know Amy, is so delighted, but her DH would have been just as happy with another little boy to help gain numbers in his little football team! Football mad!! 🙄
So lovely for you to have your DD and his OH complete with another half a one to show grandma and grandpa.
Good potting and you have a great weekend too!

Such a rotten shame, Money_Choices, but needs must of course. Take care of yourself

Have a really SUPER WEEK, folks. Stay safe and healthy!   🤩

Good evening all.  I swear I only posted a couple of days ago... where does the time go?!
Plum is up to £347.32 so I'm pretty pleased with that.  Have had a few online purchases (naughty) which will eventually get me a bit of extra cashback but nowhere near what it was when I started.  I had a busy birthday weekend a couple of weeks ago, with various groups of friends for the first time in ages.  I even went on the tram for only the second time since lockdown started.  I may have been slightly tipsy on the return journey but it was fun just to be out.  I'm only 49 on paper, in my head I'm still mid-30s  :D
I've just had the week off work (it helps that we get the Tuesday off as well at the main bank holiday, so takes less out of my leave entitlement) and spent much of it in the garden.  Rehomed some unwanted slate and some paving slabs from my neighbours garden, and fashioned myself a patio.  I will probably have it laid properly so it's safe, at some point, and I've got my brother's best mate lined up to quote, but he's busy now his restaurant has reopened and I'm in no rush.  There's only me using it and I know it wobbles in places!  Proud of myself for doing it though.  DH got me a wildlife camera for my birthday as I was sure we had a resident hedgehog... and we have!  Not only that, it was still poodling around the garden at 0425 this morning and not 5 minutes later, a fox walked through and jumped up on to my bug hotel, presumably to get over the fence!  SO excited!
Love and hugs to all who need them! x

Another week, can't believe we are well into June now!  Went to see MIL and FIL over the weekend as it is their 58th wedding anniversary today.  We sat in their garden in beautiful sunshine and enjoyed a coffee and some cake.  Also went out with DH on Sunday for a doggy day (minus the doggy!).  This was something we used to do regularly when Monty was younger, we have a book that gives different walking routes in our area and we take a picnic lunch.  The walk was about 5 miles and as we choose somewhere off the beaten track, it was pretty much deserted.  We had our lunch looking out over the estuary watching the ducks dive bombing.  So lovely to get out and see somewhere different, as well as keeping us safe.
Another £5.85 in my pot this week.  Enjoy the rest of the week everyone, hope the sun shines on you. :)

    Hi Everyone
May the gorgeous weather continue! Potted £30 from a lotto win.  I'd kept the ticket in my purse for two weeks and just happen to check it at the weekend! :)

Oh my how quickly time flies, MrsShazbat, DH & I think it's been down to Lockdown this last 15 months, though they say the older you get the faster it goes! I'll stick with the Lockdown reasons.
    Excellent work with Plum!! 😁
I'm so pleased you enjoyed your Birthday and its celebrations. 🎈
I'm a titchy bit (hummm) older than you, but even when you get to my age you'll still be feeling so much younger in your heart and mind than your body tries to state you are, I'm sure they got it wrong for us all on paper! 🤔😉

So long as you know where the uneven parts of the paving are, you've definitely got a super patio! I bet it made you feel so good for having had a go yourself, very well done.
What a wonderful gift from DH, I wouldn't be without mine, and we too have a Hedgehog, so adorable!
We feed both him/her and the Fox, well, I guess if we do so there's a little less chance of them taking Chicken! 😉
Love and hugs to you too xx

Hi Siju. It sounds as though your In-laws Wedding Anniversary will leave some wonderful memories for you all! 🍷🍾
I'm so pleased you all enjoyed a good day out and, no doubt many beautiful memories of Monty, bless him. I expect it's still a bit raw for you, but ..in time...
The venue for your lunch sounded gorgeous.
    Excellent potting!

Fantastic news Dragon Lily, congratulations!!! Thank goodness you looked in time. 🤗
Here's to the weather staying as it is. 🌞

Hubby & I had a cracking day out on Exmoor yesterday, it was really wonderful!! :p We had the moorland and just over the hill was the sea...so very beautiful!

Have a really Thursday, folks. Stay safe and healthy!   🤩

Rare trip to the office today. It was very socially distant and there were only about 10 people there in a very big space. Found it really hard getting used to the noise of other people again, although the office noise pre lockdown was way louder and didn’t bother me at all. Maybe lockdown has made me grumpy! Was great to see a couple of colleagues for real though, rather than on a screen.
Anyway, potting another fiver or so tomorrow from travel savings.
After today, not in any great rush to go back to the office regularly!

Hello, just popping by to say hello 👋. Absolutely no potting.  I had the bank holiday week off work and the car cost me £615 😱.  Then factor in a couple “cheap” days out with the boy and the associated ice creams..... Still I now have my new shed up (finally) and I’ve done a hanging basket for the first time since I’ve lived here (nearly 6 years).  Interesting  what Ant says about the noisy  office.  We are having a get together on 9th July but not allowed in the office as it’s still shut up.  We are having a lunchtime fuddle in the small garden near the office and then a treasure hunt around campus.  Most of my colleagues have never been on campus as they were employed during a lockdown expansion.  Should be good but ever so slightly weird.  My condolences to Siju on the loss of Monty.  When my poor Darbydog passed over the rainbow bridge to chase rabbits in the sky I lasted one day before I decided another hound needed me to rescue it.  The house was just too quiet and empty with just me and Sybil (the cat), but that was BC, before child 👶
