Today I am grateful for digging up our potatoes, for taking a bunch of garden waste to the tip, for a working washing machine, for walking home from sch with dd and having a good natter.

I got a good waterproof 'branded' coat in the first c/s I went into for £5, it is a size larger than me, but it should still be comfy if I have my big thick jumper on under it - see, method! And I no longer have to get wet! Also got a very swishy coat a size smaller than I thought I was on top, because everything in the c/s was £2 to clear stock because of the lockdown. It fits just fine! Buttons do up and everything so it looks like I am easily a size 14 after all! Motivation to continue dieting has returned.Tonight DS4 (10yr old) made supper for us all - just a tomato spaghetti, but still, from scratch, he made his sauce, and is very pleased with himself. Parsley garnish and everything. DS3 is booked in for a stew and dumplings on Thursday. I have plans for them to be helping out more, so that they can confidently prep a meal for when I go back into the world of work when DS4 goes to High School next year. A bit of helping out will help them transition from thinking of themselves as helpless babes, to fully capable young menfolk.Did all the ' big monthly shopping' stuff, so should not need to buy shampoo or soap or bath bubbles or coffee until January. On the way home I saw someone with a trolley full of loo roll leaving the Frozen Foods from the Farm store. 12 packs of them. There are 18 rolls in a pack. That is some hoarding behaviour! Toilet roll igloo decorations perhaps? My kids were laughing all over the backseat when they saw her!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

A not so great day at work today which caused a massive stress headache which is only just subsiding as I finally caved in and took some paracetamol. But grateful that I didn’t attack the chocolate in my drawer and I was rewarded with my first good blood sugar reading in months and months. Day 3 of my health eating and so far so good. Not easy when DD and OH bring rubbish home. But I am determined to stay focused so I can have a really nice Christmas Eve and Day. Also another NSD, so that’s 2 so far. Won’t really be able to do much between now and Saturday as work will be full on. But I will try to fit in some form of exercise.Starting Total in September 2019 = £38287.77

No NSD today, had to buy a few bits for the rabbits and some stuff for my fish, all budgeted for.
Just had a message to say one of my volunteering places is cancelled for the next 4 weeks which makes complete sense. Just waiting to hear about my second volunteering place.
Think I will use lockdown to get most of my shopping done for the big day. Shouldn't have too many distractions! I have less home visits to do over the next few weeks touch wood although will have to pop to the office at some point as I have loads of paperwork to sort out.4 -
Oh Turtles, it has been such a mixed day. A bit of work which was tough. Then I went out to get my haircut and it was so sunnty and lovely, I dropped down to the beach for a bit. It was stunning. Town was bustiling and I so wanted to go for a lovely glass of wine and soemthing delish to eat, particualry because I won't be able to, none of us will in lockdown...and lets be honest we have no idea how long it will last. But I didn't and feel proud but the wine is flowing!
Pay day for me tomorrow and I have been tweaking the budget, I literally have 34p left. But i have something left and this is good.
Grateful for:
A lovely call with and ex-colleague of quite soem years ago...isn't it lovely when it feels so natural to just pick up where you left off. And for wine and eating out of the freezer.

Monday- NSD 3! I did buy diesel, but as I was running on fumes and had almost 100 miles to drive for work, I think I get to keep the NSD 😁.
Not much else to report- meal plan going to plan so far, shouldn't have to spend anything tomorrow either. Am making a list of things to buy for the big December day for DD, will try and work out where to get best prices for items and have one speedy day to get it all!
Grateful today for helpful work colleagues, a friend finishing chemo and getting an all clear scan and being toasty warm in my cosy house while the temperature drops outside.6 -
Spend day for me as I bought 2 hot water bottles, gloves for OH and candles. I also went into Icyland to get some Greg's steak bakes and sausage rolls for the freezer and some snacks for night shift.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.7.25 - £106,653.66

Lots of digging in the side bed - filled all my buckets and then started sifting the buckets and moving the stones into small buckets. Bins out and anything I don't need for now moved to the back of the house, so I have space to work. Had to stop a few times due to the rain - really heavy cold needles of it and not well enough to stay out in that. Finally gave up about 6..30 pm - I honestly could not see what I was doing even with the back door open and the 'hall' light on. Buckets of soil, stones and edging stones I have retrieved so far all neatly stacked (edging is across an old kitchen chair so I don't have to bend down and pick them up off the floor. Hoping I can do a bit more in the morning before the helper gets here - putting the stone chippings on and spreading them evenly is a much harder job so if I could be near to that point, it would be excellent.
In a rain break I put Peak Practice on and did more sewing (mum had gone for a nap). This morning I did a stock check on some large pieces of embroidery fabric and spare threads - didn't choose to do it but it got knocked off the bed and half the contents fell out so thought i would check it over before returning them to the box. On is destined to be the long-term piece I am going to work on over the next five years. Room looks worse than ever but more stuff is in place or heading in the right direction.
Feeling conflicted over spending (present) money. Fed up of shopping already and feel guilty about my candle extravagance and that I haven't yet made a significant charity donation (usually split the money between things for me and donations). Have enjoyed browsing but reluctant to actually spend money. There are some things I need and I don't know if/ how long the charity shops will be open. Everything seems extravagant when you're used to cs prices. It's mainly the things I wear all the time that need replacing - couple of heavier jumpers, a thick snuggly cardigan, a couple of long tunics/ short dresses for winter layers and a couple of 'more than a t-shirt' tops to go over leggings, joggers and long dresses. One or two other things I would like but not sure if they are 'needed'. Need to buy a scarf and some gloves as DS3 could not find the ones I have (all cs or pound emporium and several years old).
I am grateful for a lovely tea, getting things done, my nose and eyes running less (and no explosive sneezes), for having some ideas to fill a couple of wardrobe gaps, for a relaxing 'hiding from the rain' break. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage8 -
Evening!!!
Quickly sneaking in before we are into tomorrow! Busy day at work but zero spending - yay!
Today = NSD number 2
Can't get motivated to go for a walk when I get home - especially when it's dark, wet and cold - and my flat is bright, dry and cosy! Instead I ate sweets and some bagged corn... and I was doing so well with my calories. I'm a comfort eating addict!!! My new resistance bands arrived today Icc so I will see what mischief I can get up to with them!
Tomorrow. Or maybe weekend 🤣
Night All... x

Did anyone else get up at 3am to see the exit polls? I fear it may just be me...... I am such a politics tart . Aiming for NSD 2 today. I have an emergency food parcel request for DSiL who cannot get mice pies and Twiglets as she lives in foreign parts. She was horrified that you can buy iced pies. She even knew which supermarket she wanted them bought from down to which brand label (Mr M's Best' range.) She shops far too much.It is one degree outside in Le Shire, the cars all have frosty hats, so remember your gloves and scarves today Turtles, and a little bit extra time to warm up the windows if you are driving this morning and be prepared for frosty roads.I love it that so many of us have dug out the hot water bottles.Lockdown 2 : This time, it's Winter4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
