NSD no.1 today.
Grateful for:
Speaking to brother on phone.
Sorted out menu plan. Made food shopping list and a couple of other things that I need to do tomorrow. Have put off buying something I had on list as I am in no rush to buy it. It is another cross stitch kit, want to wait until I find a suitable one that I want and like.
Still having things I brought online during last full lockdown, eg 5 ltr eco friendly washing up liquid, fabric conditioner, so I do not have to worry about ordering.
Went for walk this morning.

Well ending the day with confirmation that I did manage to fit in a few steps. I parked the car a distance away from the shop and while not much to some, it was a lot of walking for me. I have also managed to avoid the sweet stuff so far. Fingers crossed I make it to bed time. Unfortunately I spent a few quid in the shops but nothing frivolous I am pleased to say. I got a beef joint reduced from over £10 to £6.08, a tin of kidney beans at 30p and a jar of minced garlic and ginger for £1, normally £1.39. Grateful for a warm house, and cosy bed to lie down on and while the afternoon away...Starting Total in September 2019 = £38287.77

First spend of my new annual budget today -bought bread, cow juice and soya milk for the week - £6.84 😊 Dinner was from storecupboard.
So far I have resisted the urge to smoke and am pretty pleased with myself - I'm not climbing the walls or feeling grumpy about it! 🙌 Haven't drunk anything either and not feeling the need to so that is a bonus!
Grateful for being good, warm house, comfy bed and finally finishing the work that I needed to do this weekend!

Sunday- NSD 1/18 (😱). I may regret making that a public aim 😂. I may not manage, but suspect having it as an aim will help reduce frivolous spending.
Budgets are set. Money transferred to savings. Must set up a standing order to the fuel company for oil so that I don't have to worry about paying out a lump sum in a few months time.
Had a riding lesson today so exercise sorted, horse was a star which always puts a smile on my face 😁.
Grateful for- superstar pony, "finding" my house key- it wasn't really lost just slightly mislaid, pasta- so quick and easy to throw together a pasta dinner when you're running late.

Didn't manage to spend money last night. Website (or more likely my computer was super slow and eventually I gave up. No money spent today, weather is grey, wet and miserable and my nose is running (and occasionally exploding) again. Have made a 'chicken dinner' for tea and taken a few things out to the bins but not much more (binge watching designated survivor which is very good but keep stopping because I am getting dragged down by the baddies winning all the time).
Will postpone my shopping for now and if I am well enough during the week I will try to do another charity shop foray for jumpers, cardigans, gloves and a scarf, books, candles and candle holders. I was looking at a website today but then started taking things out of my basket and finally abandoned it. Looked for cotton rope washing line, household candles, tapers, candle holders and storm lanterns. Some beautiful Morrocan lanterns and wondering whether it's worth investing in a 'statement' piece like that (love the way the fretwork casts patterns onto the surrounding surfaces). So there's stuff out there but will ponder more on what I really want.
Grateful for being inside, exploring options without spending, chicken dinner (mash potatoes and gravy yum) and hoping for a good night's sleep. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage7 -
Hi everyone
March to a different beat – yes to that - spent years trying to fit in and now i am happy to be myselfAlternate spending - had a spendy day today as went to the nearest town to do some festive shopping in non essential shops while i can. Got a few things for my DDs and ordered a couple of things via £co. Don't expect to have to spend tomorrow...
Donate – i have a number of regular donations to charities. Will buy cards for December from a CS before Thursday if i can.
Nesting – got very lax with keeping house presentable so will focus on that this month. Bedroom has remained tidy and feels very calming.
Exercise - did lots of steps today but round the shops. Had a short walk by the river too. Have paid for another week of exercise classes via Fb.
Spending. - need to redo budget as debt has almost gone! Want to increase mortgage payment. Will look at this month.
Stay strong and true to yourself - yes i will!
Today i am grateful for secure employment; friends with cake; a peaceful evening

Happy November!!! 🍂
I just got all the way to E in MADNESS and deleted the whole lot by accident!!! Darn it.
I will set my goals tomorrow as off to bed now! Trying to reclaim my good habits!!! (and you know I will want to splatter emojis everywhere!).
Today was a spend day as was in the gym near the supermarket so saves on fuel, plus don't fancy braving stores as we approach Thursday. Did a batch cook so I am all set for a few weeks if I need to be - and just nip out for fruit and veg as and when.
Catch you all tomorrow x⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐

Morning all. Was kept awake last night by this storm that happened but am going to try and fit in a quick workout before a doctors appointment at 9am. Have a couple of home visits I have to do for work today and I really don't want to go.... but have to! I also need to get some eggs and bread, think I'll go to a smaller shop or the farm shop rather than the supermarket as I walked through there on Saturday and it was a shocker!
Stay safe everyone.5 -
A little late, but can I join this month please, instead of reading along. Will think about my budgets. Does anyone else order supermarket deliveries for what they want rather than a large bag? Ordered 10 sprouts, ie two portions from loose produce at Sainsbobs and they did send them All loose amongst the rest of the shopping with a sticker on one showing how much they cost!! Now I do believe in less plastic use, but come on couldn't they have found something to put them in!NSD 1/3,
My mantra is After I ....I will. eg After I make my morning coffee, I will take my medication. Eventually this will become a habit,7 -
