All these points are for tracking what we buy in Sainsbury.  At present since Sainsbury do not value this but  my wife like shopping in Sainsbury because of the organic food. So a little more troublesome, I do not scan nectar card during the purchase.  Just add points at customer services as you do not get extra value for it anyway. By doing that Sainsbury is unable to track what you buy and you get the points.
If you are going to that much effort for 0.5% reward you might as well not bother. All loyalty cards are so they can track your spending habits, either accept that or stop using them.

Well this morning my offers have all come back but they are all for 10/20 points on each offer.
  • Weird. It's been about 5 weeks without offers. They are now back. Sainsburys have probably realised that my shopping with them has reduced!  Money talks😂

You are  quite right, I don't mind the supermarket tracking, however I do want something extra in return. Since last week they have return the offer for a few extra points, thus I am using nectar card again.  Same with Waitrose, they sent extra vouchers out to those who hold their cards.
I know it is very little reward for others, but if it is free, than some people like myself don't mind it.
