Sainsburys Weekly Nectar Offers have gone down in value a lot recently

Since Sainsburys moved their offers to the Nectar App I have been getting some decent offers (stuff I actually buy) usually around 40-100 points per item. The last 3-4 weeks I have noticed a big reduction in the points offered. 14 of the 20 items are just 10 points (5p). Anyone else noticed this trend?

Yes I have noticed this.
Still a few offers at the normal reward level but many are just 10 points.
I see them as a bonus for things I already buy, the points are an incentive for me to use Sainsburys.
If however I only need to use a couple lower offers my incentive to go to Sainsburys is gone so I may well decide Iceland is more convenient for those items.0 -
Yes I was getting several 50-60 point offers which made it worth getting those items. But for 10 points its not even worth the effort it takes to open to app.0

Can't you still look online via nectar as well - I much prefer the big screen - I got 100 points for my fav tea and couple of 80 one 90 - this next week 100 on beef mince - just added all points up and if I was to get all it would be 600 points. Plus this is the 3rd week have had 3 x points on my online click and collect.
I spoke with Nectar today as last year I had nightmare with double points vouchers not arriving. I'm still not app savy and pick my offers and save via Nectar online. But was trying to download app only to find our app was down today.
Can anyone tell me if the app enable me or OH (he has the tech brains in the house) to just go along during double up week and use points via phone app rather than get them order via post.
Really would help to get advice0 -
I shop at Sainsbury's every week so get the Nectar offers too but I really don't pay much attention. As long as I can get offers, I'm happy. They don't have to offer anything if they don't want to.Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. I suppose it's different if you have a limited choice of supermarkets or want specific brands but I find even with the Nectar points, most things can be bought more cheaply elsewhere. Nectar keep sending me cauliflower points because I bought one once when Aldi didn't have any. 🤔
I did go today for weekly offers on half price LM sausages and Lavazza instant coffee. Delighted to find they had 25% off wine too. 🤣0 -
I've noticed the points reduce, too. Now looking at most items being 10 points each with a few offers going as high as 70/80 points. I prefer the discounters these days but Sainsburys is still good for what I can't get at Aldi.0

A bit better this week, 20 point offers on products which have been 10 lately and a 90 on grapes which for me is usually 70.0
