They've offered me 10 points on scotch bonnet chilies this week. Normally get 40 or 50

I download all of the 'offers' every week, but just go and buy what I fancy anyway.  Some weeks I've already gone to Aldi's, so Sainsbury's doesn't have much to offer me. 411 points on 4 March, 510 on 25 Feb, 161 on 18 Feb.  but then got 250 juicy points boost.  I used to hope to get £60 of vouchers by Christmas each year but can't be bothered anymore...just spend the points in Argos instead.

Rubbish again this week, nothing over 20 points.
  • I've definitely noticed this! A few times when they've donn bonus point promotions in store, they jack prices up to! Sainsbury's are very sneaky sometimes. I prefer Lidl

Save them each Friday afternoon. Don’t even look at the offers anymore. If I don’t get a scratchcard on the app after a visit, means I have bought something with bonus points.

A colleague said to me that you are very lucky to get more than 10 points on these scratchcards anymore. Having said that, got 40 points on Wednesday after buying some leeks.

With leeks, I don’t like them when got 2 in a pack. Found one with five so lasts me 2.5 longer!
  • The drop in my weekly Nectar points only seemed to start at the beginning of March. There is now absolutely no incentive to shop at Sainsbury's for anything other than essentials, that I cannot get cheaper elsewhere. My nearest food stores are Lidl then Iceland. What is the point of buying grapes at Sainsbury for £2 and getting 20 Nectar points worth 10p, when Lidl's always have grapes for £1.39?

I unsubscribed from the offers as they were just irritating. I don't do my main shop in Sainsburys so what they were offering was for things I'd bought YS or because, for example, Aldi were out of cauliflower. Even with the offer the prices were silly.

Slightly off topic but does anyone know if it's still possible to see those graphs that show prices across a year or so on items in Sainsburys. I'm sure they were available by scrolling down each item when doing an online shop. Is it just that I'm not looking in the right place or have they disappeared? 🤔

I was offered 200 nectar points for buying a certain item however i notice over the weeks it became 150 points, 100 points, 50 points and now down to ten points for purchasing the same item. I know this is just to entice you to keep buying hoping you won't notice the points drop but i decided to not purchase the item for a while and gradually the points offer started going up again week by week, anyone else noticed or played them at their own game! :D

I've noticed the reduction in points but they haven't started going back up yet!  I only shop in Sainsbury's for odd bits and pieces so will wait and see if they do go up again  :)

Lots of people have noticed that the Nectar point offers drop in value at times, there is a thread here.

I got 200 points for a certain item one week, this week its at most 20 points (but looks like more products offering the extra). On the weeks they offer more than 100 it might encourage me to buy that item. When its 10 points then its a bonus if I happen to buy something.
