My new offers just in. No change. Nothing on single items again.

I used to get the offers every week but they stopped 4 weeks ago. I have phoned Nectar and was told it was a technical error. I also did a Chat online and just told that my Nectar card was all fine and to keep checking. I challenged their response on both the phone call and the Chat online but was repeatedly told to just keep checking. Phoned Sainsbury's and again all I could get out of them was the same scripted answers. I think I would be less annoyed if the offers had stopped for everyone due to change in their procedures but just to stop them for some of us is extremely unfair. For some of us on basic state pension it does make a big difference, I used to get about 200 to 300 nectar points each week which over the year does add up and I used to save them for my shopping at Christmas. I guess all I can do is consider changing to another supermarket as clearly my years of loyalty to Sainsbury's means nothing as they clearly have no loyalty to some of its customers.0

The last time I shopped at Sainsbury's was 8th April - no offers since then, so no shopping there. The store is just a couple of minutes walk from me and I used to go there a few times a week but since covid I reduced that to once every 7 to 10 days. On my last visit I spent £78 and got 890 bonus points for buying products saved in my app, so a nice number of points back. For my next shop I went to Lidl which is also a couple of minutes walk from me. I went back to Lidl again a few days ago.On the optional Nectar app yearly Sainsbury's shopping roundup I was told I was the most frequent buyer at my local store of taste the difference Apple/Blackberry/Ginger/Beetroot infusion. I tried the cheaper Very Berry from Lidl but it was missing the depth of flavour for me. So, I now make a cup of tea with one bag of Very Berry plus one bag of either green tea or red bush, plus some freshly grated ginger. I keep the ginger wrapped in a plastic bag in the ice cube compartment of the freezer. Frozen ginger grates nicely and freezing keeps it fresh. I now have a delicious tea to make with healthy fresh ginger and have explained to Nectar via the app feedback that I have gone from being the most frequent buyer locally of that TTD tea infusion to probably never buying it again even if I were to shop at Sainsbury's again some time. The luxury Ardennes pate at Lidl is another preferred replacement for me over my Sainsbury's frequent purchase. The Lidl pate is conveniently packaged in two plastic compartments. It is difficult when a product has to be eaten within a day or two after opening if it is too much for one sitting. With the Sainsbury's pate I would take half out then straight away vacuum pack the remainder which I would then have two to four days later. With the Lidl pate I can open half the pack for one sitting and leave the rest sealed ready to eat within the use by date. The longer it goes on that Sainsbury's give me no incentive to visit their store, the more products I will find preferred replacements for.

I've just had a look today and have received some Weekly Offers from Sainsbury's; if I buy my 'personalised' items I'll get 410 bonus points.
I don't usually spend more than my weekly offers in Sainsbury's so I'm surprised they haven't started to rescind their offers with me (yet) as not one of their biggest customers. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -
I have signed up just to add to this thread - I used to get what felt like very generous offers up until September last year, including 100 points on a pack of Sainsburys knock-off Mars bars (which were only 55p) and 100 points on a red pepper (45p, I think). I still get offers on those products, but they're much less generous, 40-50 points. I get the same products every 2-3 weeks, and in all but one of the cases, they've dropped the points. I used to get 40 points each for buying carrots, cucumber, onions and bananas and now they're all 10 points. Still better than nothing, but a huge drop from what they used to be.0

Yes I'm still getting offers but it's now rare for me to get more than 10 points on anything.
I was getting 40-100 per item before.
Unfortunately for Sainsburys this means my incentive to shop there for the bonus points has gone, and I have fed this back to them.0 -
Does anyone do Nectar Canvass surveys? I haven't had any new points added since 1st May0
-
Yes, I've had points added for 2nd May but not since.
These delays do happen from time to time and always get resolved.1 -
All these points are for tracking what we buy in Sainsbury. At present since Sainsbury do not value this but my wife like shopping in Sainsbury because of the organic food. So a little more troublesome, I do not scan nectar card during the purchase. Just add points at customer services as you do not get extra value for it anyway. By doing that Sainsbury is unable to track what you buy and you get the points.
