Its certainly not as effective. Ffp3 filters. What good is the visor? And what good are the poorly fitted cheap chinese mask people wear under their nose? Sounds like you are buying into the propaganda.AdrianC said:You are completely and utterly missing the point of face coverings, going against all advice on face coverings.

Yes, they are PPE - for a completely different job.
You have no way of knowing you do not have covid unless you have had a very recent negative test - 80% of infections are believed to be asymptomatic, and people who are asymptomatic cannot get NHS tests in the UK currently.
If I go into a shop with my strimmer headguard on, I would reasonably expect to be asked to leave... but it's PPE face-covering, and it is every bit as effective as a covid face-covering as your P3 mask is.

And if we're getting into terminology, then I prefer "scientific fact and reality" to "propaganda". And, yes, I do buy into scientific fact and reality. You may differ.0 -
Propaganda from who? Shadowy sinister mask companies? You don’t need to be a scientist to understand that something that is transmitted through the air will be reduced by filtering that air.0

Yes, thats why I use a p3 filtering mask, you cant get better(forced air is probably better but same filter)Dr_Crypto said:Propaganda from who? I don't think you understand the whole point of the exhalation valve. It's to allow your exhaled air to escape without being filtered.Scrapit said:

No, the only thing it means is that you don't understand the whole point of requiring mass wearing of facecoverings.
Or, seemingly, 80% of infections being asymptomatic.
