Driving without seat belt - Online course or £100 Fixed penalty?

The OP was asked what the course was actually called but OP doesn’t seem to have re-visited the forum pages since posting the thread starter.
Apparently there is a specific Seat Belt course called “Your Belt Your Life (YBYL) “
https://www.ukroed.org.uk/courses/
The online course costs £52.80 and takes just 30mins. The alternative for the OP is a fixed penalty fine of £100

I wonder if those that are anti seat belt are also of the anti mask/face covering variety. This is off-topic but since it's been raised, there is a critical difference in your analogy. Seat belts protect nobody other than the user; face coverings provide no protection for the user but, we are told, provide protection for others around him.0

And, as far as masks go... "we are told"?Mutton_Geoff said:
Isn't it absolutely obvious to anybody except those with serious preconceptions? As mornings get colder, the demonstration of their efficacy will become more visible.

Unbelted people present a serious threat to other occupants of the car in the event of a serious collision. You really do not want an unbelted 16-stone individual sitting behind you.

Not bothered. They are ppe with the first p being personal. I wear a mask to protect me, thats what they are for. Also not having covid-hence why Im protecting myself, its not a problem for anyone else either.facade said:
But not anyone else, as P3 are the ones with an exhaust valve.Scrapit said:My face coverings are p3. They absolutely protect me.0 -
You are completely and utterly missing the point of face coverings, going against all advice on face coverings.

Yes, they are PPE - for a completely different job.
You have no way of knowing you do not have covid unless you have had a very recent negative test - 80% of infections are believed to be asymptomatic, and people who are asymptomatic cannot get NHS tests in the UK currently.
If I go into a shop with my strimmer headguard on, I would reasonably expect to be asked to leave... but it's PPE face-covering, and it is every bit as effective as a covid face-covering as your P3 mask is.
