Gumtree Buyer Reported My Bank Account
Comments

Just had another call he has changed from Garda to the authorities regarding reporting me.
He is saying he will more than likely receive a chargeback and i wont get my item back either. Because he is a man of the law the authorities and bank will take his side over mine.
Oh he is a solicitor now it is his brother in law who is the barrister and he is the one who suggested the forensic testing.
He also tells me this could drag on for months.0 -

beyer78 said:Aylesbury it is indeed true. I have a image on my phone of the item i posted to him and i took photocopies of the item and original diamond certificate from the images on my phone also the proof of posting receipt from the post office.
I called into my local branch and handed the copies to a manager who asked me to wait in her office whilst she faxed them over to the fraud investigation team.
You did not know how he paid, but you now state you did know?
There are starting to be to many inconsistencies in this tale?
But just post the pics of item, certificate and proof of posting? That you possess. That may allay fears this is windup?
And you may get further advice? The world is not ruined by the wickedness of the wicked, but by the weakness of the good. Napoleon3 -
There is so much wrong with this story I hardly know where to begin.
Just the first bit, the idea that a bank will freeze funds if someone randomnly phones the bank and claims seller is a scammer - it isn’t going to happen.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I have blocked him now my ears are nearly bleeding.
I asked him to text me a image of the items he alleges he received.
His reply can't be posted on here it wasn't pleasant.
He kept repeating that he wants a refund from me or I'm skewed.
Would the Garda or my local police who are the GMP have the items he received tested for forensics?.
It seems a bit far fetched for something like this.

As I advised earlier, this is way too serious a situation to be getting advice from random strangers on the internet. This is possibly international fraud, and has sparked a forensic investigation. Engage your own solicitor and follow their advice.0 -
Why are they testing for your DNA? He has your phone number, bank account.
Keep coming back it's an entertaining thread.0
