I'd be amazed if staff at a branch level have access to that sort of information.

What would happen if he did get his money back from my bank?.
He surely has to return the item I posted to him?.

    I don't have a solicitor.
Santander have informed me over the phone and in branch of the buyers allegations.
Why on earth not?  With the police involved, an ongoing forensic investigation and what looks like a fraud investigation as well, you're crazy to be seeking advice on here instead of employing a solicitor.

I phoned him half a hour ago.
He tells me because he is a solicitor my bank have issued him with my full name and address.
I sure as hell didn't give them to him and unless he is Uri Geller how did he get them?.
He read them out to me during our conversation.
I have advertised a television on gumtree too because we have just upgraded.
He has contacted me on there saying he is interested in them
He lives in Belfast I'm in Manchester.

Ummm isn't your name & address printed on the back of a parcel if you send via recorded delivery?

Only if you make the effort to put it on there.
Whenever I post anything by SD or signed for, I always put my address but this is never looked at by the Post Office employee when I drop the packages off.

    "he is a solicitor "
Which is it solicitor or barrister? You do know there's a difference?
"He lives in Belfast". Why are the Garda Síochana involved then?

So you're now proactively contacting someone you blocked?  Right.
He tells me because he is a solicitor my bank have issued him with my full name and address.
Tell your solicitor to issue a cease and desist.  Also, consider taking GDPR action against your bank.
I sure as hell didn't give them to him and unless he is Uri Geller how did he get them?.
From your bank.  He's a solicitor, remember?  They can do that.
He read them out to me during our conversation.
I have advertised a television on gumtree too because we have just upgraded.
Link, please?  I'm looking for a TV for my spare room.
He has contacted me on there saying he is interested in them
How much is he offering?  I have an upper limit in mind and need to know if it's worth getting drawn into an auction, especially with a solicitor that looks like Neil from The Young Ones.
He lives in Belfast I'm in Manchester.
    Responses above.

I did not put my name or address on the envelope and the post office didn't ask me to either.
I used my own padded envelope to send the item not a silver plastic envelope the post office have for special delivery.

And it was the buyer who mentioned the Garda being involved.
I assumed Garda were employed in all areas of Ireland before being corrected on here.
It's not everyday you have someone from Ireland trying to scam you.
