GI curfew here is a proper curfew, in your house and don't go out, not even in the car. If you need to be out of your house you have to complete a form (can be done on smartphone) saying why, medical, work (but need paper from work saying you have to be out at night), travelling across a region is ok but again need justification. You can walk the dog within 1 km of your house. Basically no one on the streets and yes the police patrol especially in towns. Basically lockdown from 21.00 to 06.00.
Washing in TD
Lunch being eaten as I type
Bags packed for weekend
Banking and finances checked
Have a good weekend

Peaceful day of work. Strange how that's happened.
Wandered off after the initial rush and had a nice, long bath, getting back downstairs just as the next email pinged through.
Did 4 loads of washing and 3 of drying (the 4th was dumped on the airer and radiator), so I have lots of nice fluffy throws and blankets to cover the furniture with. Except the tatty chair, as that's occupied by a ridiculously cute looking cat burrowed into my cardigan instead. The other one is treating the fluffy rug as though he's predating through a grassland and occasionally going a little bit crazy as though there's a mouse in it. We checked last night by pulling out the sofa and he hasn't brought a friend indoors to play - which also got me an added bonus as Himself was persuaded whilst he was there, it would make sense to sweep underneath it. Did a bit of washing up and stuck some rice into the rice cooker, dumplings to steam and a mushroom Miso soup in the wok.
Faffed around some more with work and then logged out on the dot for the week.
Himself is covering some other office tomorrow, so is getting up at areyouhavingagiraffe o'clock to catch a train, which means I'll have lots of peace and quiet. It's all feeling quite calm and organised at the moment.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll8 -
Wow Mademoiselle that really is a curfew, I know a few people who would grumble at that.
Thanks Pigpen x DS1 is still having Lymphoma symptoms (nerve pain, tingling, itching) and there is still "activity" in his bone marrow but his bloods are nearly normal so he will carry on with checks every 8 weeks and we just hope for the best. I wish they had never told us there was a good chance he would be cured because I now know its often not that straightforward with blood cancers. He is still suffering the after affects of the chemo but he is back at work and happy and we have a lot to be thankful for.
The old sofa is gone and the new one is in, it looks great and glad I went for the £250 one because I really dont need anything expensive in the kitchen. Been to see my parents briefly, done some paid stuff, hoovered and mopped floors downstairs. Tomorrow is going to be a busy day, think I am taking DS to work for 6.30am.10 -
YL.. That must be like living in limbo.. it's so difficult. His happiness is everything though
Made.. that sounds perfect .. just how it should be.. still as pointless because you can not hide from a virus.. but it sounds just perfect. Hibernation .. glorious!
I have achieved NOTHING.. I spent the ENTIRE day sorting appointments and the mortgage account etc.
I spoke to Dot yesterday about clearing her bed, so she did it herself today and is now hysterical and been screaming for an hour and I KNOW it is for the best and I am just not giving in.. she will get used to it, it's just new.
I spoke to Dots teacher today and she is sorting a visual timetable for her over half term. I said the whole class will probably get some benefit from it. She said the green fluffy chair would be more difficult.
Anyway.. the mortgage people are being silly and not reading my emails and weren't available when I rang.. so I need to ring on Monday and be on hold for 5000 years.
Argh.. I need to trek upstairs AGAIN! I need a sherpa it's like climbing Everest every 5 minutes.

And the decorating is started...colour now chosen, filling of holes first as am great believer in prepping properly.
Vacuumed upstairs. There has been much putting away and tidying, too.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Evening all. Late-night reporting again here.
The roofer, his son and two mates came today. I shall be £££ poorer tomorrow when I've paid him (the job involved new lead flashing - not cheap! - as well as new UPVC soffit and cladding on the side of the dormer), but hopefully everything is watertight now.
Before the men arrived I swept all the leaves off the lawn, in case Rosie had left any unexpected presents for them (she hadn't), but by the time they left it was ankle deep in leaves again. I shall be out again tomorrow with my rake [sigh].
I have sorted out some admin, read the meters, done WMx2, and got my printer workingbut as fast as I crossed off one thing, I added at least one more item to my to-do list.
Pigpen asked, "Are we doing fly-cards this year?"
IMHO I think we should do everything possible to lift each other's spirits, so it's a YES vote from me. If Natty doesn't feel up to sorting the cards this year, I am happy to deputise. I am also very willing to organise a Secret Santa, if folk are interested - but if someone else wants to take that on, please say so.
Don't forget to turn your clocks back tomorrow (Saturday) night! xx9 -

I also have the huggiest cat in the world today.. she thinks she is a scarf!
