Morning all
Re Christmas 🎄- I would absolutely love to participate in both, thank you. I've probably mentioned this before but the gold star key ring I received years ago is in use daily with my door key. Thank you, Iona, for offering to organise - we are in very safe hands with you xx
Onto today, despite a very busy and active day yesterday, DS was still up at 5.30. I'd have hoped he'd sleep a little longer now he's almost 7, but alas no. He'll be up at stupid o'clock tomorrow that's for sure! We are heading to Aldi first thing to do a very very big shop. Once all of that is away, a lazy ish morning is on the cards, and a big walk later.
The embers in the fire were still glowing when I got up this morning so I've got it going again 🥳🥳. I will be chopping some bits of 3 by 2 with my little saw as well later on to stock up the kindling stores. Will also submit a meter reading to bulb, our little consumption thingy tells me we never go over £1.50 per day, I think our DD can be adjusted (MSE police take note 😎).
Have fab days all xx9 -
Morning all
Im sorry for being awol again, another hectic and stressful week, I’ve lost count of how many extra hours I’ve put in. I’ve booked Monday off though, I need a break and I have a call with my manager on Tuesday to discuss my workload. I must make a few notes prior to that meeting, just hoping I can get through it without losing my cool or bursting in to tears. Either of those is a distinct possibility at the moment!DH has been working regular hours but has done nothing around the house... words have been had!! He is good at doing stuff but I always have to ask, he won’t just think for himself that something needs doing. Then asking all the time makes me feel like a nag... I’m considering printing out the lists so then we could tick things off as they were done. Perhaps then he would also understand just how much I do!!Sorry for the rant, I hope you are all ok, will catch up with thread properly later on. First brekkie, cuppa and a shower to get me feeling a bit more human, then I will sort this pit!Hugs x10 -
Morning all. Hope you're all ok today.
My list for today
Dailies
Pay vet bill by phone (have decided on just palliative care for Poppet rather than putting her through surgery and chemo)
Go to council meeting
Sort out saucepan cupboard
Send meter readings
Lots of walks
Maybe some gardening
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
Morning xx
Weird dream including a turbulent river, not being able to find my way to where I wanted to be, and gate-crashing a wedding reception with several brides and not many guests. Like I said...weird.
I'm up, my bed is made and I've drunk my first brew. Good. I forgot to take my meds again last night, Not good.
It's a good thing I was home yesterday as the pharmacy delivered my repeat prescription. I've always collected it before. I ordered it online so I'm assuming I didn't tick a box or somesuch. Shrugging shoulders - saved me a jobAnd a parcel due today arrived yesterday. That's a couple of Christmas presents to tick off. Oh, and I'd like to join in with the flylady Christmas card swap please.
At work I am known for being reliable, methodical, organised, and on top of things - can someone please explain why I seem unable to transfer those skills to my home life? In fact just the thought of trying to apply those skills at home makes me feel sick. Give me a pile of chaos at work and I will sit and work my way through it. and enjoy doing it. Give me a pile of chaos at home and meh! Shut the door.
Breakfast and brew two next. Then
Round 1 =
Shower / Wash hair
get dressed
feed the birds
put out the rubbish and recycling
wash DS's work tops
That'll do for starters.
Have a good day. Take care

Morning all - just!
DD dropped at work. Chowder in sc, as DSis and DBiL are coming for lunch. Never made a chowder in or out of the sc, so this could be interesting. A pile of magazines sitting by the door for DSis to take. Ferrrrlllling!
HHI x 2 done. Rest of the Mr M delivery from last Wednesday has been put away. Or more accurately moved from the DR to the utility room, so that it looks like I am tidying it away. Bathrooms s&s, and DH has just used it. Again. Within 5 minutes of cleaning.I am sure that I have done something else with my morning....8 -
Round 1 completed. Slowly.
I've asked DS to unscrew the shower head and bring it down once he and GF have showered. I'm going to dunk it in white vinegar for 24 hours and see if that makes a difference - currently it is half shower and half gutter hanging off in a monsoon deluge. Now I've written it down it does not suggest blocked holes to me - hmmm. we'll see. May need to buy a new shower head but we'll try vinegar first.
Coffee now - anyone want to join me? I'm so lonely here in flylady land. Have I missed another flylady bus trip out?
lol

Hope the coffee didn’t get too cold while I caught you up, Round!
Sitting around waiting for DSis to arrive - she has never been known for her timeliness, hence the sc lunch.
DH has just “sorted out” 2 of the cases that have been on the landing for the past fortnight or so. He has declared nothing that needs to leave the house. We will see about that...7 -
Thank you for joining me nmm and Fayolle xx
Just done another laundry shuffle and set 3rd load swishing as there is now room for it on the airer.
DS and GF have applied to rent another house in town. They have to be successful eventually surely.
Shower head is looking cleaner - whether water will flow better through the holes remains to be seen. I live in hope lol
