wow - lots to catch up on - will save for later.
What a busy day
flu jab had, been to W1ckes and now have paint, a new paintbrush and masking tape. DD was shoved into attic - all paint brought down, some needs binning. Also other junk out of there and decorating box brought down. Contents of decorating box transferred into empty plastic box. Cardboard to go in recycling. Hole filling repeated, two other holes created as removed a light, so they are filled and cracks (hairline) filled too. Will sand tomorrow and wash down walls. Also did filling in kitchen (which DD has offered to paint - we shall see). We've also been looking at carpets...(wishes could use eek smily) and am being measured on Thursday morning. (more eeeks)
Have also been to beeandemm for straw and sawdust - ended up driving round car park twice while DD nipped in as was so busy...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

So I haven't done meter readings or gardening as it's now pouring with rain but everything else on my list was achieved. Walked 5 miles. Now reading.Spend less now, work less later.9

Dragged myself to the girls room.. Flung lots of cardboard, dragged out 3 maybe 4 loads to wash and 3 binbags of rubbish. I filled a very large box with toys for charity shop.. and vacuumed what I had cleared. I need to go back through all the toy boxes and get rid of so much more. The baby toys have all gone except for one box which DD1's smalls play with when they come.
2x DW.
Sorted some food we got in our food parcels that no one will eat to be re-donated to the foodbank.. 7 boxes of bran flakes, 3 bags of rice and a carrier of tinned things. That cleared a bit of space.
put the mountain of cat biscuits away.. fed the fat fluffers..
OH on his way home from work.. so I shall fling jobs at him like putting cardboard in the recycling and bringing the rubbish down. I didn't get much done because the dust was aggravating my chest so I had to keep stopping.

roundtuit said:At work I am known for being reliable, methodical, organised, and on top of things - can someone please explain why I seem unable to transfer those skills to my home life? In fact just the thought of trying to apply those skills at home makes me feel sick. Give me a pile of chaos at work and I will sit and work my way through it. and enjoy doing it. Give me a pile of chaos at home and meh! Shut the door.
Started the day with walking up to get a paper, to test the weather. Decided it was warm enough so I could go for a run before the promised showers set in. It was pretty windy and muddy so I did a sub-5km route but as it's the first run I've done for a couple of weeks I'm glad I've started up again, just need to keep going.
Spent a lot of time this afternoon practising for my planned drum lesson via Zoom next week (not a whole drum kit you understand as I live in a semi and have nice neighbours so could never get a full kit, even if I made space). Interesting - Mr N was upstairs on the big PC and I was downstairs with practice pad and drumsticks on first the laptop then the tablet. Tried a range of headphones, microphones etc. Not sure I got it quite right so we'll have another attempt tomorrow.
Picked up from Mr T click and collect.
Did a bit more of a report.
Checked my church reading tomorrow in case of long words......thankfully not.
I'd love to join in the flycards and flySanta. I too have some much-used flypresents, including my Clangers mug.
Spent the evening watching Strictly! Very wild weather here, can hear the wind bashing things about; it's a real November blustery day. Mind you, my sister in Canada had snow yesterday.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8 -
Good evening!
Sorry I have been AWOL again. Nothing to report really..... day 6 of isolation. DH went for a test yesterday - not really typical covid symptoms, but he said a tightness across his chest. I suggested a test as I thought it would put his mind at rest - I think it's anxiety related. He is also prone to hypochondria(I will feel really mean if it comes back positive!!!!). If he is positive I think we will all get tested!!
Not much achieved today - played games with the kids, painted some wooden toys (making rainbow-coloured loose part play for the kiddies). DH & DS attended a zoom running club awards night - I sat out of the way and just watched. I will catch up on Strictly tomorrow! I have done another online shop for delivery tomorrow - lots of goodies, not much foodNarc0 well done on the running! When I am allowed out I need to start running again..... and eating less rubbish!
I will endeavour to be a better flylady tomorrow! Night night all!9 -
My breathing is bad tonight.. and my chest really tight..
Cleaning that bedroom may have been a mistake.. I think I might need to speak to the quack about further medication for this wheezy thing. Another reason I think it all needs cleaning though.. to get rid of the clutter and dust and the things which are aggravating my lungs. My neck may need a chiropracter too.. I need to discuss that.
Anyway.. next round of clearing is the landing.. it is full of dead boxes and some boxes of stuff belonging to DD1 and DD2 so I need to make decisions on those.
OH is not at work until 5 so I will have him doing lots of lifting and shifting and putting of gibble into the loft.. and snooping up there for a white christmas tree.. I should have 2.

Suddenly realised that the shelf thing DS stored dvds on (Ikea definitely, 'Billy' possibly) also needed unscrewing from the wall and holes filling so at 8pm that was done, The horror (cobwebs) behind it .... *shudder*
Don't know what I will do with it but it won't go back.
Tomorrow I plan to rub down filler, wipe walls and maybe even repaint ceiling. To that end meat bought for stew/casserole in SC.

oh Dear.. is it now a "billy-no-mates" Valli?
Cuppa and bed now we have located all the cats.
Dot went to sleep much better tonight, Her bed is clear of everything but 3 bears (no Goldilocks!) her duvet which she sleeps on top of and her weighted blanket. The floor is cleared a bit and vacuumed and restacked the toys not sure if it had anything to do with it but I know she will be up at silly o'clock.
Nutkin appears to have hurt a back leg.. hoping he has just jarred it when they have all been tearing about.. it doesn't mind when I squeezed and moved it so it can't be that bad.. I think he may have fallen or jumped and landing funny.
Ooh.. Next return to organise.

Morning all,
DS got up at bang on 4.59am 😂😂 I didn't! Thank goodness for Netflix!I am enjoying a cuppa, the WM is on and I will take the dog out shortly. I have lots of financial bits swimming around in my brain so have put pen to paper and made a list. Since a rejoined the frugal living challenge my finances are certainly better but I am constantly mindful of them. I am also very aware that work, whilst secure, is dragging me down and want to plough my efforts into the mortgage to get it down. Any flyladies pay off their mortgages early with any words of wisdom/encouragement?After my work I need to poo pick, cut some more wood (did a lot yesterday but the saw really hurts my hand after a while), then we will have another autumn walk this afternoon. Jacket spuds done in the woodburner for tea.
Hugs to all xx11
