Another day of SI and WFH.
Seemed to be going OK until somebody at work took exception to my doing something that is a non negotiable part of my job because they're a bit busy and phoned me to scream down the line then send angry, accusatory and hypercritical/borderline abusive emails throughout the day about it.
I am not answering the phone at all tomorrow and if they email to ask why, I'll reply lie that there's some sort of phone issue going on. That way, if they're really angry again, they can leave a massive paper trail all the way to my manager's inbox.
And then I'm going to ask the manager if, due to GDPR legislation, my number could be deleted from the database this person has access to, as I'm not prepared to take any calls other than those from very senior management.
I have taken in 4 deliveries today, so I now have a nice fluffy area rug to warm the place (and my feet) up/the cat to go crazy on for some reason, a super fancy knife, fancy pountry shears and a cutlery drawer organiser (looks posh, isn't). Doing the latter counts as flying, doesn't it?
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll9 -
Hi all
Very busy day at work, but quite productive so that's OK. I have ordered a new kitchen sofa as the fake leather was starting to peel off the old one (it was about 15 years old). DS1 took a saw to the old sofa yesterday to save me £25 getting it taken away (it will then go in his car to go to the tip). This job is not yet complete though so you can imagine the mess.
Other than that the house is tidy, I am back on track doing my exercise which is doing me good. Oh and I want to treat myself to some new pyjamas with a fitted leg, long sleeved top and preferably not with unicorns or Disney princesses on (I am not 5 years old). Anyone seem any? Needs to be online really.
Pigpen well done, you seem to be making a lot of progress with medical stuff and referrals. And JoJo I would be reporting this person, no-one should have to put up with that at work.

I want to see how tomorrow goes first, as if they're going to do it again, I'd quite like them to feel so comfortable with it that they escalate the behaviour. Because a one off could be written off as 'well, it was a stressful day for them' whereas a pattern of full blown raging would be more indicative of an attempt to bully somebody who never reacts in that way herself (me). If I can manage to speak to people with respect and not grab their personal phone number off the internal system to shout at them in breach of GDPR , I see no reason why others can't. And I know it's partly because of a history of the people shouting directly at me being violent and abusive, so I just want to walk away from them, but no, nobody should have to put up with that and I am too old and too grumpy to put up with it these days.

YL I use Etam for 'house' clothes, their sell pyjama bottoms and tops separately and plenty of styles so you don't have to look like an overgrown 6 year old.
Up, showered and dressed. Full day today as having hair cut and coloured this morning and then last day at work this afternoon. Then I have a week off as DD2 will be home.
Bed stripped, clothes picked up

Joined Kaz in the WAC for what felt like hours. So now I am only just having breakfast, as school broke up yesterday so no job 2 today.
Bed stripped and wm on. Not sure what else today brings, although I have some sewing that needs doing. DD wants to drive me to big town. That bit I don’t mind so much, but not so keen on then getting out and wandering around. Flu jab later on.8 -
Good morning 😁
Day 4 of isolation, and we haven't killed each other yet! It rained all day yesterday. I did 3 loads of washing that were dried in TD. I cleaned up the kitchen, threw away a bowl of rotten tomatoes & started a jigsaw. I also did some admin - spoke to LA, DfE & emailed ofsted & LA, in accordance with procedure/guidance.
I woke up late again, and still in bed! I promised myself I would get at 9 🤦♀️ I have checked my emails & bank account though while I'm here.
Round 1
Get up & dressed
Have breakfast
That's a start! I need to empty the food bin into Lottie the Hottie, but I need more shredded paper so I may do that first. The sun is out, so I may potter in the garden for the fresh air. I may try and drag everyone else out as well for a dose of Vit D!!
Round enjoy your time off & be kind to yourself lovely
Jojo wishing you stress free work at home day
Have a good day everyone. Hugs, sticks & spoons where needed x9 -
Morning xx
I raised my brew to you Mademoiselle xx
Thank you Goodi xxI'm glad I listened to myself yesterday and did virtually nothing - let the hamster wheel spin itself for a day. I'm going to be mindful today and do a bit but not a lot. I had a pray in and got up at 8.30 am. I've had two brews and marmalade on toast, made my bed, got washed and dressed, brought in the emptied bins and fed the birds. I've loaded the bowl with pots and WM has just finished swishing towels / tea towels.
I'll peg out the washing - blue skies and sunshine here today. My pampas has 10 plumes and my cotoneaster is hung in berries. My dahlia is still valiantly dahlia-ing.
Hugs to all.
